Likes
- I think the surrounding and the nature is awesome and mind refreshing. The atmosphere is good which make it's more comfortable to study.the campus life is beautiful and seniors are very nice they are very helpful.
- The faculty are experienced and skilled. They lab assistant professor and every teaching staffs are very nice.
- The placement are not so nice but still better then most of other the highest package was 42 LPA.
Dislikes
- There is a bit discrimination as the local people are more in numbers and they are favoured as compared to non local
- The infrastructure is not good. It's made up on wetlands. No roads are there.
- The girl hostel is very far from the college it took 4 hours daily in travelling.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to be a computer software that's way I opted this course. They help us in make new projects, presentation and internship which make us real world ready.the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods can be by teaching us more praticaly and not just theroy. The frequency and timing of exams are there are 2 exam in 6 months of 2 hours each but in weeks we have unit test of 1 hours. The difficult level is medium.
Placement Experience
From 3 semester students become eligible for campus placement. The name of the companies which visited are ICICI Bank Newgen Tata digit etc. 85.9% of cse student got placed. The highest package was 42 LPA and average package is 8to 11 LPA. I wanted to start my own company. Our college also provide us the experience by giving us internship opportunity.
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually in one year there is two semesters so we have to pay twice in a year. The college fee for par semester is 77000 and hostel fee is 26900. So they total amount Will be twice of this. The registration process is done through jossa which includes 35000 seat acceptance fee and 45000 pratical addmission fee. There are many private scholarship that one can apply like siemen Infosys and also on nsp. The fee for sc and st students are 7000 and the one whose family income is less than 1 lakh.
Campus Life
The annual fest is manipuri fastival hackathon and many flashmob take place. Also all the fastivals are celebrated in my college. There is a medium size library with lots of books. The facilities are very poor inside classroom as fan don't work properly neither lights nor windows shut down properly.there are many sports activities like badminton chess football etc there are many clubs that are run by student in a college some are dance club photographic club etc.
Hostel Facilities
We are provided by a bed table chair fan light in a hostel room. Some more facilities are wife 24/7. The meal quality is okay. You can have the taste of manipur in the food. Not a place for vegitarian people. Registration is done online through the nit manipur website. They have there different portals for students.
Admission
I don't applied to any college basically I got the college by jossa consulling in which they give us college on the basics of our rank in jee mains exam. So i got seat in national institute of technology manipur in computer science and engineering. The cutoff was very hight and most of the students wants cse branch.
Faculty
So they faculty in my college are very experienced and skilled. There teaching quality is very good and understandable.the faculty to students ratio is quite low but there is a healthy relationship between faculty and students. The faculty I like most is susma ma'am she teaches C launage. And it was pretty nice. She was so helpful to us. There are 2 exams in one semester mid term and end term and some of the unit test. 5 to 10 students fail in exam.
Night Life
In manipur we are not allowed to go anywhere after 6 pm. There is a Strick curfew time for both boys and girls. The timing of college is from 9 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening. The locality is not safe around night.
