Course Curriculum Overview

3

1. good balance between a core subject and computer science, 2. pretty well although some things could be imporved upon like subjects which require practicals being theory based and vice versa. 3. better management of timetable so students do not feel rushed. maybe longer semester times since 4 months is short 4. ise1, ise2 and mse exams are not too difficult but the ese exams are quite tough, the ese and mse take 1 week each to finish

Internships Opportunities

2

1. internships drives are held and stipend ranges from 10k-65k if incampus internship. if internship is not bagged, students need to find it on their own. the entirety of the last semester is for internship.

Campus Life

4

1. annual fest is called euphoria and the technical fest is called crescendo. they are held during the even semesters, mostly in the beginning of the year. 2. the library has a good range of books and journaks, daily newspapers and past question papers available 3. all classrooms have fans and practical labs have air conditioning. there is centralised wifi. 4. the college has a good football club, debate club and dramatics club amongst many others that take part in many competitions and events in different colleges. 5. there is the student council, gdsc, rotaract, cfr, abadha, etc. clubs are either technical or non technical and create a good impact in the student's life by providing them with good exposure

Admission

1. i also applied to KJ Somaiya in vidyavihar and RAIT in navi mumbai and VIT vellore. i did not choose these colleges for the following reason: expensive fees and no affiliation with mumbai university, expensive and not well regarded, large batches in each class so issues in placements, 2. i did not get rejections from any college i applied to. 3. admission to my college can be done through CAP rounds or institute rounds. the eligibility depends on your mh-cet score. only mh-cet is accpeted and jee. but only mh-cet is given importance. there is also a 51% quota for chrisitian minority students

Faculty

1

faculty to student ratio is good and the faulty is well educated. they are mostly all phds with a few in the process of getting their phd. faculty to student relationship depends on the branch. electronics and computer science branch is known to have a very tough faculty. whereas other branches have more leniant faculties with better student to faculty relationships there is an ise1, ise2, mse and ese for each subject. some subjects thought are practical based and have only practical exam 1 and 2. the ise1 and ise2 is of 20 marks, mse is of 30 and ese is of 100 marks which then gets reduced to 30. passing marks is 40 out of 100.

Night Life

4

1. after a day of classes, students can roam around bandstand which is just opposite the college. areas for shopping like hill road market and linking road market are also close by. there are many eateries nearby. 2. the college does not have a hostel. there is only a hostel in kalina for students coming with J&K reservation. 3. some places inside college are - euphoria stairs, old canteen. outside campus - yacht. the locality is extremely safe even late at night

Other Applied Colleges

Somaiya Vidyavihar University | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer and Communication Engineering)

Higher fees (4l per year) for essentially the same course with 8% increment of fees every year. And in graduation certificate, no mention of Mumbai University which is little important for higher studies abroad

Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology - [RAIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Business Systems)

New course, not too many reviews, weaker placements and high fees, low roi

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
