Admission
I had applied for Bsc Psychology in Women's Christian college, Stella Maris, Madras school of social work and Presidency college.I got into all the colleges i had applied for but WCC was the first to relase its admission reults plus WCC is popular for Psychology in Chennai. so when i got in i Joined immediately. I didn't opt for Stella because it was strict about the dress code even when went for provisional admission process. Madras School for social work and presidency came in very late and by then i had already got adapted to WCC so i did not join MSSW or Presidency. so for all these colleges, I had to submit my application form with my 12th mark sheet and other documents, there was no entrance test or interview. overall the admission process was completely online so it was hassle free. after the application is accepted, the students have to go to the college for document verfication within the given time slot and following that the staff will give information about when college starts and all.
Faculty
There are 2 CIAs for each semester followed by the end semester exam. the CIA will be for 40 marks and the end semester will be for 100 marks. there will also be assignment for each paper for 20 marks and all these combined will be converted into your final grade. To pass the CIAs, the student must have a score of above 16 for each paper and for end semester, the pass mark is 40 the faculty to student ratio, in my class was 1: 10. the faculties are younger so it was a bit easy to approach them.
Night Life
Inside the campus, the lily pond, library are cool to hang around. baked good from main canteen are a must try. There are many places to hangout after college. there is 132 sterling, Cinnamon house, Nithya amritham, Writer's cafe, KFC and small sandwich shops for food. the governmnet museum is also within a walking distance. there are also parks near to hang out. the college is close to KNK road which has many cafes and resturants. The area is pretty safe at night to roam but there might be curfews from the hostel. in the campus hostel, the curfew is around 8ish i think but there are many hostels around the area.
