Campus was very pretty, it had good vibes and overall a very decent look.
I like the faculty teaching way and the way they encourage their students
It was a very easy and simple process to get admission.

Dislikes

Restrooms sometimes too bad and water supply is blocked
The strict rules were something most of my batchmates hated
Should pay lot of condonation if we lack attendance

WCC the inside and out

Likes

The campus is very Green and the every building is so beautiful.
there are many clubs and being part of it helps in connecting with students from other departments and other colleges
The Library is really good, both new released and very old books can also be found

Dislikes

The management is a bit strict around phone usage in campus and if a student is caught, she would have to either pay or be suspended for 7 days
since the teacher's were a bit young, the quality of the teaching method was not amicabal

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed

I appreciate the teaching methods in this college. Lab work and field work (for our course) was completely practicals. We are given hands on training in that aspects.
The faculty members are extremely skilled and highly approachable. They are ready to help at all times.
The infrastructure itself is very pleasing to the eyes. The college provides a serene environment.

Dislikes

The course rigor is good, but i feel like more days could be added to the semester itself. They follow Madras University Syllabus and each semester is for 90 working days only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Plant Biotechnology aspect influenced me to choose this course. And it didn't disappoint. The curriculum itself is structured in a way thag we have hands on training on lab and real world applications. For example, we could perform Tissue culturing by ourselves. The frequency of the exams are good as there is atleast a month time between them. It helps us revise what we have learnt and learn new things too. The exams are pretty easy.

My experience at Women's Christian College

Likes

The campus was vast and lush with greenery.
There were different cafeterias catering to different people.
There was a stationary shop on campus for buying pens during exams.

Dislikes

There was a lot of partiality and groupism among student.
Students were not allowed to use the elevators.
The dress code enforced was very strict.

Placement Experience:

The placements at college were good. Students become eligible for placement from the 5th semester. Some of the companies to my knowledge were Deloitte, Cognizant, Hexaware and the average package was between 3lpa to 5lpa. In my class, ther percentage pf students placed was more than 75%. My plan after my Bachelors was to immediately pursue Masters degree.

I really like the greenery of the campus ,there is a variety of plant, bushes and trees that are well taken care of an deach tree has a small qr code which we can scan and learn more about.
The faculty's expertise, teaching methodology and mentorship quality is quite unique and high,various methods are used to grasp attention and to teach.
Numerous seminars, workshops, conferences an culturals are held to horn the skills of the students

Dislikes

The recess timings are quite short and inadequate to finish a meal.

Placement Experience:

The placement in my college is very nice, multiple MNCs and banks come to recruit the finishing interested students . Companies like Delloit, Cognizant, Infosys, Zoho, O2 health studios, Amazon, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, and RR Donnelley come to Women's Christian College to hire and recruit students. These companies offer a good salary package and give the students quite good pay and an amazing offer package as well.

The college campus looks amazing there more trees and they maintained daily like watering the plants and trimming the plants etcc
The teaching was great beacuse the professor asked 2 or 3 times if any students have doubts you can ask me in the break period also
Infrastructure was great it look like you old and traditional

Dislikes

I disliked if any cultural or something happens means students only took part in that program
The canteen is small In the break time canteen is fulled
Lack of programs maybe they can arrange more programs

Course curriculum is good because i learnt many things at first year like main important topics like in my course is DSA topics the teaching are quite good and for tamil med students is tough because they fully teach in english

I like my college always there are so many knowledge I gained here
The teachers can treat very friendly and they can help to improve ours knowledge
I learn English in this college days and I am not a good studying person but I studied here and scored more marks also

Dislikes

The principal and Is very strict, they can't gel with students
The facility change the securitys in 6 month once
Allow students can use mobile phone in a college function and they are in emergency Time

I didn't have any suggestion because the teaching methods are amazing in the college Exam timeing is 9.30 am to 12.30 pm 3 hours exams I can finish my exam in this timeing And exams hall was so nice to sit and right exams in my college

Worst colleges in Chennai -WCC

Likes

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

They course quiet oky ... Those subjects are difficult and it's hard to study we need put some efforts to get good marks in this course and it's very useful to know world wide and I learned lots of things in this course

My love for my college

Likes

The infrastructure heritage they are caring over 100 years and focusing on holstic development of the students and providing internships opportunities in overseas for students those whose cleared examination
Campus recruiting for helping students to get good job to develop their skills and career
The cultural activities and sports to encourage us and to develop our organisation and planning skills apart from the academically growth

Dislikes

Difficulty in clearing our dues while semester
Only one industrial visit which is little bit sad for us
The food in the canteen sometimes we can’t get food if we are late to canteen or mess

Placement Experience:

The placement will be 6th semester for PG is 4th semester and highest paid is 6LPA percentage is not big deal they will look for skills only some of the company will look for percentages as their minimum criteria

Exploring women’s christian college chennai

Likes

The college department asks the students review whether the subject core which they are learning is already which they have studied in their schools or not and accordingly syllabus are made
The college has plenty of placements in partnership with many companies and more of it is top companies
They have many college events and activities which develops and enhances our skills

Dislikes

We have to complete physical eduction which happens before the college timings it is difficult task to complete 40 hours of attendance in the count of 2 semester which is 1 year
Extension activity like club activities happens in holidays which is very disturbing as a student coming to college in leave times
No lift service for students which is difficult for students to period wise to climb 3-4 floors

I want to become a charted accountant and my course prepares me very well by making presentation frequently. Need to improve in the accounts side for better results in the exams. There ks a proper frequency in the exam timings and frequency and i wish this should be great for students to prepare properly for the exams
