While I took Admission in K.J.Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (Here onwards Refered as KJSIEIT), There was MH-CET Entrance exam to take admission in this college but since last two years the Entrance exam has been changed to IIT JEE.Students as admitted purely on the basis of MERIT.The admission process takes around 1 month to complete and also the college have 51% seats reserved for Gujarati Minority students.The admission process takes places as CAP rounds alike the same CAP rounds through which students are admitted to different colleges but this college conducts its own cap round for gujarati linguistic minority, Institute level seats and Vacant seats (Seats which are vacant even after state CAP rounds)

The Electronics field in which i'm admitted is the best part of our college since the college undertakes various curricular activities along with academic studies.The Faculty which Somaiya Trust Recruits is always highly Qualified with each faculty member is having a Master's Degree along with P.hD degree.hence the teaching faculty is precisely very high qualified.

As of now, now companies comes to our Institute to offer any internship.only Final year students are allowed to Go for Interviews with companies.

The minimum package that these companies offer is around 3.5-4 lacs/annum and upto 10-11 lacs/annum to extra ordinary students.The companies takes an Aptitude test which all students have to appear for, then students obtaining good marks and with good Academic background are called for Group Discussion.After Group Discussion the selected students are called up for Personal Interviews and deserving students are offered with Right package.The placement percentage of KJSIEIT is around 70-85% every year on consistence basis

The Technical festival of our college is named as "Renaissance"which takes place in 1st week of september every year.The Tech-fest is conducted on huge basis and students are given opportunities to show their technical projects as well as technical presentation.The cultural festival of Institute takes place in 2nd week of February every year. The Participation in the fest is over 1500 students from KJSIEIT as well as from other colleges.

The cost of hostel is reasonal as compared to other colleges hostels.The Fees of college is whooping 1.1 Lacs per year which is not worth actually.It should have been around 60,000-70,000.The Food in mess is a average type food and there are ample of rooms to occupy more than 200 boys and 200 girls which is well and enough since most of the students from college are from Mumbai and sub-urbans

Yes the TATA scholarship is provided in the college foe students excelling in academics and also Banks like Punjab National Bank provides loan to students at very reasonable rate.

Campus life is not so good as their is very small campus.The gender ratios in our Institute is around 80:20 for boys:girls.Many Workshops regarding technical events, cultural events, Debates on technical presentations takes place every week.The college provides Wi-Fi in library and canteen only.

The Bonding with our seniors was good hence we had good experience with seniors.They were helping us if we had any doubt regarding placements or academics.The Industrial Visit with seniors will always be remembered.
