Course Curriculum Overview

4

BITS has been following MIT, USA curriculum since the early days. Some aspects provide flexibility to students like building their own timetable and choosing the professors for courses. In some cases students can get a day off if they build their timetable properly Course curriculum should be more practical based rather than theory, and more lab classes should be introduced. Theory should be taught through practicals.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college attracts few quant companies too due to its esteemed reputation The highest paid summer intern is provided by Tower research capital which provide a stipend of 27 LPM for 2 months. Apart from summer interns the college provides unique Practice School facility which is basically internships based on CGPA and its available for all students. Higher cgpa students land in companies like Amazon, ISRO and some abroad companies like CloudDefense.ai, BigLook, Bosch, etc.

Placement Experience

4

For Mechanical branch most of the students were placed(>85%) and average was around 18 LPA. Companies like HUL, JSW appear for core mechanical roles. Highest package offered in the core segment was of 36 LPA in Livguard. No mass recruiters appear for the placements as students dont feel it's a good ROI to apply in those companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees: 2,59,500 Hostel fees: 20,650( For Pilani campus); 27,750( For Goa and Hyderabad campus) Mess & Electricity charges: 10,000 Other advances: 12,000 Caution deposit: 3000 Total fees(2x Semester): 6,10,300

Campus Life

5

BITS hosts the biggest student run fest in Asia, OASIS after IIT Bombay. Apart from this cultural fest BOSM a sports fest as well as APOGEE a technical fest is also held in the span of an entire year. BITS library provides you access to a variety of foreign journals, books of famous authors and some fictional books and magazines too. Sports and extracurricular activities are top knotch. Their is a large variety of clubs, associations, departments which carry out tasks like running the fests, and participate in various projects.

Hostel Facilities

4

For first and second year double sharing rooms are allotted. Table, chair, whiteboard, almirah is provided by the institute Mess offers variety of food and nonveg is served 1-2 times per week. A monthly grub is held once a month. Hostel is affordable and offers value for money.

Admission

I applied for other colleges like VIT, Manipal, COMEDK colleges, etc. I chose BITS over all of them as it provides a unique exposure and opportunity the others miss to provide. The institute's Practice School policy is a usp which attracts a large amount of crowd. The institute is completely reservation free and only allows admission on merit which leads to a better student crowd. You can take admission in BITS through BITSAT or directly if you're a board topper. BITSAT is the exam taken by most number of students right after JEE.

Faculty

3

Student and faculty ratio is quite well, tutorial classes have 30 students per class enhancing one on one interactions. Thermodynamics faculty: Prof. Manoj Soni and Chemistry faculties: Prof. Rajeev Sakhuja and Prof. Paritosh Shukla have excellent teaching abilities and deliver tough concepts with ease to all students Exams are divided into quizzes, assignments(in some subjects), midterm and comprehensive examination(endsem) Quizzes can be surprise or announced depending on the professor and are generally held throughout the semester. Exam difficulty keeps on increasing gradually as you proceed towards endsem. Open book examinations are especially tough in particular.

Night Life

5

Hostels are open 24*7 so students can roam around as per their will. Their are various eateries too which function till 2 AM in the night. The gym equipment is also very well maintained and new equipment is restocked once every few years. You are not allowed outside of campus gate after 8 pm in the night and hostels are open for entire duration. During night the college is lively.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average but improving. Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. A few companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture (off-campus support), Capgemini, and some local Jaipur-based IT firms visit the campus. Most offers are for software trainee, support, testing, or analyst roles. The average package is around 3–4 LPA, while the highest package goes up to 8–10 LPA (mostly off-campus or through exceptional performance). Around 60–70% students get placed through campus or combined on/off-campus efforts.

In my college there are very good placement chances if you score good marks and be a good student there and we can get an average package of 4 to 5 lakhs per annum and if we are better than if you are very good student we can also get more than 10 lakhs per annum it all depends on us because we have to study and we have to take out chances but if I don't get any employment from there I will start doing it off campus and will do my own business or something like that but I will definitely try hard to get a placement from this college because it is very good and I want to get I am job from this college to start my life of making money
