Review on BCA course offered by Institute of Technology and Science, Mohan Nagar,Ghaziabad

the course is relevant to present times..I chose this course as I was interested in studying Computer and do coding. For the same reason I chose CS as sixth subject in 11th class. the curriculum is set in a way that all the programming basics are covered in sem-1 and gradually the level increases after every year by introducing new programming language as a subject but the logic building is same. enough lab classes are there to learn the coding language but i think the lab timings can be increased for those new in learning the basics asthey require more time for understanding the problem logics. The exam are conducted after every two months. the first internals have half the syllabus while the second internals and externals have full syllabus.

the college encourages internships in second year but is not mandatory for all. The internships are generally tech based involving knowledge of ai, ml, python basics, dsa etc. the faculty give time to time guidance on which subject field to choose.

the college has a fairly strong placement cell.the students become eligible for campus placements after mid-5th semester. the companies that visit regularly are TCS, Muthoot finance, HCL,wipro etc. the average package is around 5-6 L. i plan to take the job offered during placements and join corporate.

The year-wise fees for our course is roughly 1.5L. I was given 50,000 scholarship as merit for scoring above 90% in my class-12 cbse board examinations so I gave appox. 1L as my fees in first year. As for the compulsary charges, semester examination fees ought to be submitted.

the annual fest called NAVTARANG and WYSIWYG takes place every year in the month of april while tech-fest called TECHNOVATION generally takes place in the month of february the library is very big and has several books of curriculum as well as that of literature. all the classrooms have installed projectors and white board. the campus has centralized air conditioning

I chose this college over others as it has good placement record as compared to other colleges. the college has strong reputation in my chosen field. The campus environment and peer reviews i read online were also positive and student-friendly. the college was also near to my house saving travel time

the faculty is very experienced here.the faculty to student ratio is approx 1:30. the faculty is very open to student's issues and deal with the student's problem almost immediately. a student may go to their respective course co-ordinators for grievance handling as they are the first line of contact. there are 3 exam in every semester( 2 internals +1 external). the difficulty is of moderate level. the course curriculum is quite relevant as programming languages like c, python are given emphasis which are very useful in present time job opportunities

a personal interview was taken by the college asking general questions of 11 and 12 subject topics. they also asked introduction in order to check communication skills. the criteria for admission is mainly 12 board examination percentage/grade.

the campus has strict night timings but the students are allowed to roam inside the campus at night.the campus has gym, cafetaria, hotspot , library and park. near the college, there are several hangout places like WSM mall, restaurants, etc. the college has good strategical location as it is near the metro station hence commute is easy.
