Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was interested to pursue my future in the feild of forensics and hence, chose this course. We have a lot of practical sessions, which actually prepares us for real world investigations. The stress we undergo also makes us stronger to face the world. Areas of approvement woulb be to have frequent class tests to keep us prepared the whole time and also, reducing the cost a bit would help. Frequency of exams is only twice a year and difficulty level would be mediocre.

Internships Opportunities

1

Till last year, thede were in house internships. However, this year onwards, they have stopped in house internships. They do host an annual international conference, which is paid. We have to complete summer internship for 4 to 8 weeks.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first semester fee was 1,85,000 including security deposit. The second semester fee was 85,000 and the next semester fee is 85,900. Yes, the academic fee increases semester wise. The hostel fee which was 85,500 for the first year has been increased to 100000. Registration form fee is 1500 rupees. Mess charges are NOT included in hostel fee, for a normal individual, it takes around an additional of 6000 rupees per month for just food apart from groceries.

Campus Life

4

The fest i am aware of is the amity youth fest usuallly held in the month of March. The range and accessibility of books in the library is good. You can access any book and study comfortably. The facilities provided in the classrooms are air conditioning and projectors. There are good sports in the university, we have teams and matches and a big sports ground. For extracurricular activities, there are different clubs to join. Yes, there are student rum clubs like a crime scene investigation club, a poetry club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel is the worst. They are too strict, depressing interiors and bad warden. Plus it is quite poorly made and the money they take is NOT AT ALL worth it. I hate it in the hostel and i would advice to never opt for hostel if you are an outgoing person, it is like prison. The registration process is that you need to request for hostel accomodation, whether ac or non ac, price differs. The non ac is the worst. Once they approve, you get hostel accomodation.

Admission

I applied to CU and got a confirmation from there. However, i was not very comfortable with the idea of staying in that area, and was familiar with Amity, so i chose this college. I did not apply to that many colleges. The admission process is if you have 90+ percentage in 12th, you directly get an admission in my course (you need jee and cuet for other courses) and if you get less than 90 percentage, you have to give an interview and pass that to get admission.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio would be 1:3. Faculties are pretty approachable, but can be rude and sarcastic and tend to look down upon their students. The best faculties would be Dr. Himanshu Khajuria, he is very understanding and actually tries to listen to what we have to say and gives solutions. I am scared to mention the faculties i do not like. There are 2 sets of exams, one internal and then end semester exams. Students usually are able to pass, the only condition that makes them fail is when they are debarred. Course curriculum is quite relevant and i can say i like it

Night Life

4

There is a gym on campus and multiple cafeterias and a central library. The hostel timings are too strict, we cannot even roam around the campus after 9 pm unfortunately. Hostelers can go out only on saturdays and sundays. Food is bad. Some hangout spots would be found in H block, namely chai garam, nirulas, amul, dominos, subway. And a few more towards the sports ground , namely, wallstreet and the arcade. The locality is pretty safe, but they don't let us out. Other than that, roaming around the campus is quite fun in the evening

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I opt PCM in my intermediate, and to continue my studies in mathematics I choose this course. In our college, there are at least 3 professors for a single paper on a subject and every professor teaches a class of at least 120 students. They are highly educated as most of them have done Ph.D. in a particular topic from renowned universities. In every semester we go through an internal exam and an end semester exam internal exam of mathematics is done at least 2 months before the end semester and practical exams of physics and chemistry are done at the time of the end semester exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course based upon my interest in this field. The faculty to student ratio isnt great as there are very few professors for a batch of over 100 students. The curriculum for the 2023-2026 batch has been revised and it includes more practical based subjects which is a major improvement. All semester exams require a faculty feedback form to be filled for the admit cards to be generated. The difficulty level of exams has been medium right from first semester till the last semester.
