Entrance Preview

I had given the odisha JEE exam in the year 2012 and got 5778 rank and got admission in gitam college. I choosed this college because there was no seats available at that time so i had to go for this college.

Internships Opportunities

In this matter this college is bad and no company came yet to provide intership.

Placement Experience

Only two companies came they took only 8-9 students and they left with taking interview of any other students. And the package is also very bad. But still the students are joining because they don't have any other option.

College Events

We perform many types of feastivals here. In vishwakarma puja the mechanical branch organise the puja in a well way. They are not that big but they are awesome. Management do nothing with the festivals.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is ther. For the SC,ST and OBC students. And the general student have to suffer again. Loan is provided by our college. They will give a bond which you have to take to the bank.

Campus Life

GIRLS are less And boys are more. We have a playground. We do java and C++ competition with other colleges and there is some fights in college campus sometimes. We do many functions and we do ramp walk too.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG visited and about 7 to 8 lakh rupees package they are giving. Highest placement is 1.5 crore and the average package is 8 to 9 lakh rupees. About 70 percent students getting placed. I want to job in MICROSOFT.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

The best college

After the completion of 12th , I gave OJEE and got a good rank , and then I applied in a government scholarship scheme which is called TFW and got selected by this collage, for that scheme my 50% course Fee got waved.
