Remarks

After the completion of 12th , I gave OJEE and got a good rank , and then I applied in a government scholarship scheme which is called TFW and got selected by this collage, for that scheme my 50% course Fee got waved. When I went to the college for the admission procedures, the management of the college was really impressive, they treat me like there own child, and I met some of professors and got some good advices from them. After half n hour my admission paper work got completed, and I went home happily...

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I always want to be an engineer, and had some willing to know how electricity work for that I joined electrical engineering. There were total 34 faculties in the college for different departments and and I don't know the student ratio but in my class there was 89 students . The faculties are highly qualified and trained in their respective subjects. Most of the faculties did PHD in their respective subjects and almost all faculties had master's degree, so in learning you won't have problem in future. In every week a weekly test was conducted by the college authority, and believe me ,the way the faculties are teach you will feel the exams are easy

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are there in college in final year but for covid, I did not get the chance to do an internship, we did a home automation project which was we can operate home electrical appliances with remote

In my time in college... The students were eligible in 6 th SEM for campus placements There were two multinational companies came , I forgot their name but those were biggies, almost 60 % students got placed in the campus placement drive, my plans to enhance my knowledge in electrical engineering after getting degree and get good job

Fees and Financial Aid

I got a government scholarship TFW , for. Me the course fee was around 22000 , which you can pay in 6 installments. For the non scholarship students the fee structure may vary on their financial conditions. I don't know about the hike policies but no one's price got hiked. In my final year two multinational companies were came but unfortunately I didn't got selected. Stipend for the scheduled cast students is their.

Campus Life

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
