Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is relevant with good mix of theory and practice. It prepares well for real world applications but lacks hands on focus. Exams are moderate more practical exposure and updated method are needed

Fees and Financial Aid

CGU offers course like BTech (5.08L), Mtech(2.45L), MBA(3.2L). Scholarships like state based, central based and also merit based SC, ST and female students support. Fees may increase yearly, verify details on university website.

Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant with fests like celegance and tech fest. The library is well equipped and classrooms have modern tech and sports like cricket, football, volleyball,kabadi with active students club.

Admission

I choose this college for strong faculty and good placements and relevant curriculum. Compare to others it offers better industry ties. The admission process was straightforward with merit based approached.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good with approachable faculty. The best faculty are dr sukant bisoi and prof mamata das and dr debendra for their expertise. Exams are moderate with few failures. Curriculum is relevant but needs more practical focus.

Night Life

Campus life has a relaxed nightlife. Cafeterias close by 9pm , library till 10pm and hostel have 11pm curfews. Popular hangouts include the campus cafe and nearby eateries. The area is safe at night.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG visited and about 7 to 8 lakh rupees package they are giving. Highest placement is 1.5 crore and the average package is 8 to 9 lakh rupees. About 70 percent students getting placed. I want to job in MICROSOFT.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.
