Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I love computers and I have deep intrest in computer science sk I choose this course. I learned much necessary things in the college. College should help and provide skills according to the students. There were hackathons done by the college which is a good step towards the development of students. The main focus should be in the practical knowledge than the thoery as in real world students have to deal with projects where labs practices play a major role.

Internships Opportunities

1

There is a bad review in this as college provides very less number of internships. College should focus on giving more internships to students. In my year students have to find internships by their own.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my btech it was of 155000 per year then there was registration fees of Rs.3000/- per semester. Now the yearly fees has increased. I got medhabruti scholarship by odisha govt. Which was of Rs. 40000/- for the full course.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was great. Cgu conducts a annual fest in the name of Roshni nights. The fest is overall of 3 days. In the last day one celebrity guest will be there. Students and faculties enjoy this fest very much. Each and every person waits for this fest every year.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel is divided into many types like they have shared bedrooms from single to 6 sharing. Hostel fees is not included in the course structure. So one who is willing to stay in the hostel will have to pay hostel fees according to the room he needs.

Admission

Cgu has a great infrastructure and great previous records. So I choose this college. I also gave their exam and passed it. I also passed the exam of SOA but many seniors said cgu would be better than soa.

Faculty

4

The faculties were too good. They are experienced and well behaved. There were 2exams in each semester. One is the mid sem which consists of 20marks. Then there was an end sem which was of 100 marks which was scaled down to 30 marks. Then there were marks for attendance, assignments and labs.

Interview Experience

4

There was just a test by the college which I have passed. Then there were other formalities like documents verifications. There is also an option for admission through ojee. Many studnets come from there. But after successfully passing the test we have to give the token amount for admission.

Night Life

4

College have a indoor gym with a trainer. Where any student who wants to join can take subscription. Library remain open for all. You can find many books related to your course. There is a lawn to enjoy snacks. Outside college there is a mall where every essential things are there. Nearby there are many places which are famous.

Other Applied Colleges

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Many seniors said cv raman would be bettter than soa.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
