Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum followed here is pretty much like any other university. Since I have CSE Core , studying some subjects in 1st year felt unnecessary and there should be things that should be added for CSE Core too. Otherwise the curriculum that is followed is pretty satisfactory and the way they're taught gives you an idea of their application in real world . Again teaching methods of some teachers are good whilst others are average . In our university there are only two theoretical and one lab exam per semester and with preparation they're easy.

Internships Opportunities

2

Since I personally yet haven't had internship provided by college, so I don't have much idea but as per what seniors told me there are only certain students who are eligible for internship are provided with it and many did got offered PPO later. Of course those students has good cgpa and exceptionally good projects and CV.

Placement Experience

3

I guess after 6th semester most of the students are eligible to seat for oncampus placement and yes placement are provided by our university. Our college has collaboration with Capgemini and there are many well known companies that visited like Accenture, microsoft, amazon and many more. Almost 75% of the students do get placed in CSE. I plant to seat for oncampus placement and also consider off campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

I am Saumya Singh currently pursuing BTech in Computer science from GLA UNIVERSITY, Mathura. The total fees that I will be paying for the complete course is near around ?800000 . Yearly fees gradually increases , in the 1st year I paid ?185000 for the academic fees and in my 2nd year it was ?191000 , it will increase again next year. Yes ,Scholarship do are provided in our university as per need basis to those who need but there are certain criteria, like they have toh maintain certain cgpa , these scholarships are state quota based and aren't provided to those who have someone in their home with government jobs . Apart from this they take exam fees early on during admission only and other fees are all included in academic fees only . If you stay in hostel , you'll have to pay hostel and mess charges.

Campus Life

3

Overall campus life exposure provided by university is good but not as good as of like those typical universities in Delhi , noida or Gurgaon. But as its an university , lately not fests are held on big level...our Annual cultural fest , Spandan held in 1st week of April and techfest , Technavya helds in February in which many colleges takes part in. There are abundant Clubs too to help you with social life and personal growth inclyde sports clubs for excelling in sports and also has NCC. There are many libraries too , a library for each department in their departmental block and a central library woth abundant books. Whole campus has wifi connectivity with routers in each class and smart boards and projectors.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facilities are average, like there could be given more with what we are paying , storage for you things is very less , internet connectivity model is very old , they still use LAN . Meals in compared to other universities are pretty good . As I live on campus in hostel, I have not much idea of PGs but considering locality I would say it's not very safe for girls.

Admission

I considered many colleges before getting into one , at that time from the online reviews it seemed pretty good , placement and academic wise . I considered Chitkara University too but I couldn't get seat in CSE . But after spending 2 years here it surely wouldn't be my first option . There is an entrance exam for admission after you register yourself, eligibility criteria is 65% in 12th boards.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio , I would say is pretty good , like teachers do focus on every students , for important subjects there are tutorial classes for which sections are divided into 3 parts so teacher can easily resolve the queries of each student related to the subject. Also teachers are approvjable but it depends on teachers too. In my current semester there are pretty good teachers . Exams can be unpredictable sometimes, mid terms are comparatively easier than end terms, I personally think that amount of students that fails are much more than it should be .

Night Life

1

This is the question that disappoints the female students residing in hostel oncampus, since the curfew timing is very early ,i.e., 7.00 pm in summers and 6.00 pm in winters for those who are not in any clubs have no social life or exposure of nightlife . Gyms are provided in every hostel and have canteen for ordering food and late night cravings . Locality is not very safe for girls .

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
