Likes

Some teachers are ready helpful and understanding
Guidance with provided for examination and practicals
Pressure was not there by any teacher from my department

Dislikes

After completing the degree is not necessary that you will find job in campus placements because the campus placements are very few
Some of the teachers will not really interested in teaching a particular subject and you have to do it by Sat
There are not much extra curriculars that you can expect

Course Curriculum Overview

When I join the course I was not aware about IT field but after finishing my graduation I am somewhat aware about my course .I know the job opportunities in this particular area. I am also aware about the growing opportunities that this industry will create so according to me if somebody who is tech driven and wants to make a career in technology without much hustle can choose this particular course.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 33000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I pursued Bsc It from Sies college of arts, science and commerce . The waste of during my time was approximately 30 to 35000 yearly including tuition fees and lab fees .For other category students I think it was available with little concession.

Campus Life

Well as an IT student you are not much exposed to extra curriculus also the college used to have committees but you have to be before aware about it but the used to be plenty of clothes that you can participate to but that we totally depend upon your convenience and your time

Admission

I applied in Xaviers College HR college KC College and Jai Hind College and also Poddar but I genuinely feel that it's not a bad college it was near by my house I didn't have to travel much and sometimes I used to have classes till 6 o'clock for that timing I think my college was very near.

Faculty

The student teacher ratio was 1:120 . The teachers. The used to conduct semester wise exam so per semester we used to give one theory one practical and their used to be a 20 mark exam like a unit test.

Night Life

Guru kripa is one of the most popular places and Hapur all the SI students do 20 of places like McDonald's pizza hut. cafeteria and library were spacious. You're not much exposed to the nightlife because they were students mostly studious and unaware of these things

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I chose IT as it has a vocational subject which can gain you more marks. But the facilities are very bad. All facilities wete trainies non wete permanent. Faculties always use to complain about low pay by college and college say we dont gave enough funds. Passing here is very easy as we use to get question bank

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell is responsible for the placement process. It is not very streamlined. Getting a job is considered tough, usually, the student has to search for it themselves. The average package offered is about 4 Lakhs which is okayish. Usually, students go for masters in Europe which is one of the best options. About 40 people apply for placements out of 180 students and out of that about 20-30 get placed.

Other from SIES, I applied for the same course in Ruia college and Somaiya college. I got confirmed admission form from Somaiya college but i didn't opt for it as the fees are too high compared to SIES college. I didn't get admission in ruia college because their cutoff was high. I was eligible to get admission as my total marks in HSC board exam was 418 and the cutoff was 420 so I visited my college and had a talk with the faculty member, the faculty members guided me well and told me to bring HSC mark sheet, and fees (DD form) that's it....Read More

I've applied for VES college, chembur and pillai college, panvel and I got addmission but because of their fests and other programs I denied that college. I didn't get rejected from their but I really don't want to participate in any college fests or programs over my studies. Online registration and then filling college form was my admission process.
