Course Curriculum Overview

5

I think i will show you some basic needs how should be the food technology courses should be The course should have alignment with industry trends they should focus on engineering technologies . The curriculum covers regulatory aspects such as food laws and standard and our college provide us all of these The course curriculum for our food technology is comprehensive where our college covers wide range of topics the curriculum includes foundational science such as chemistry biochemistry and microbiology which provides solid understanding to us teachers covers preservation and processing techniques include thermal processing dehydration and drying programmes. They teach us about how the food safety and quality control programs and quality management systems They also provide us knowledge about food nutrition and health the curriculum explores the relationship between food nutrition and health including impact of food processing on nutritional health. I would give some suggestions for improvement such as adding topics like food nanotechnology , gene editing and precision agriculture to reflect the industries reflection. Provide more opportunities for hand on training, internship and industry collaboration to increase students skillset. Encourage collaboration between us and those from other disciples such as engineering biologyand nutrition to provide more holistic understanding to students.

Admission

I chose these college over othes have several reasons 1) These college has strong reputation for its food technology programs with well experienced faculties. 2) The curriculum is comprehensive covering all aspects of food technology from food processing to nutrition 3) The college has strong ties with food industries providing opportunities for placement internshipand research collaboration. 4) As compare to other colleges I'll rate my college in reputation as 10/9 on the basis of curriculum 10/8 on the basis of teaching staff 10/10 on the basis of placement 10/8 location 10/6 not that much ideal 5) i tried for some other colleges also but the thing went wrong is That college also has good Repuation but its curriculum was not good as my current college its location was not ideal with limited opportunities for internship and placements i also felt that the faculty was not that much well experienced or qualified as compared to my current faculty of my college 6) the industrial connection of other college were not good as my current college additionally location was not ideal for part time jobs so preferred my. Current college over others Admission process of my college Student can take admission in our college pn the basis of cet examination for Maharashtra students for the admission three cap round are held where students are selected according to their marks or grade if you have atleat 80% in your cet examination then you will get admission in these college Students from other state can also take admission in our college they have to appear for different icar examination for these. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
