Course Curriculum Overview
The major you have taken will be incorporated in your syllabus only in the final years. Initially u will be given subjects like chemistry physics sts eve eee to improve your skills. For computer science students with specialisation in data science, the data science will be incorporated only in the final years.
Fees and Financial Aid
For category 1, the fees is 2 lakh/yr For category 2, 3 lakh/yr For category 3, 4lalh/yr For category 4,4.5 lakh/yr For category 5,5lakh/yr. The students will be admitted based on their ranks in viteee The scholarships are given for government school students and students who secured topper distinction in their district/school.
Campus Life
Vit organises several events throughout the year, mainly during techno vit, vibrance.... Around 200+events by several clubs have organised this year's vibrance. Sports, gym and all other facilities are also available
Admission
The admission into vit is solely based on your viteee rank. If your rank is below 20k,you have a fair chance of getting cse with spec in category 2 and Ece eee in cat 1 itself. The management quota is not well known in this university.
Faculty
In this university, the students can opt for their favourite faculties. The interaction with the facilities solely depends on the faculty only. Some faculties are approachable while some are not. 2 cat exams carrying a total of 30 percent weightage and 1 final exam carrying a weightage of 40 percent and assignments of with 20 percent gives u a sum of 100 percent for a subject.
Night Life
The hostel intime for boys is 9 pm and that is girls is 8pm....As far as vit chennai is considered, the students need to get their proctor permission as and when they want to step out of the college. There is a mall named Marina mall at a distance of 10km from the University and also a pvr theatre at the same distance.
