Not really. Being a student, I'd like to give an opinion that they should make attendance a linency. I love being a student of this college and I try to give my 100%. Sophia being a girls college, teaches every girl to be independent. And I believe personally, every student has a bright future after passing out from this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor in business administration is great for the ones who are really looking forward to have a career in business. It mainly opens gates for the corporate world. Besides that, there are six semesters (three years)
Placement Experience
There are few companies for placements to be very honest. Not unlike other colleges when compared. There is an entrepreneur's club which creates opportunities for self employment and organises talks and workshops on the same.
College Events
Awareness programmes in collaboration with NGO United ajmer. Seminars on global warming and depletion of flora and fauna. Workshop on translation studies organised by department of English. National conference on- 'Advances in science and technology'. Worksop on quantitative techniques and data analysis. The last "Sophiesta-The Sophian cultural Fest" is organised by the cultural Committee of college, the aim of fest is ti showcase the inventiveness of students in field of art, drama and literature.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible. Really worth up to what they teach. 28k is for the course I've opted. Annual fees includes 11k. There are three installments. End semester examination fee is charged at the time of paying tuition fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There aren't any scholarships in my knowledge. Student loans are being offered by the bank authorised. I'm not really sure about this. Being a student from a middle class family I'd really appreciate if they take this effort of providing scholarships to deserving students.
Campus Life
There are value added courses compulsory for each student to enroll for at least one course. There is swimming pool, gym, library and big playground. There are skill development programmes too. Self defense is compulsory for every woman. Other than that, students are given certificates for their vocational courses. Also it's added in their marksheet.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. Alumni meet is organised every year and teachers are appointed for that. They make sure that every students is able to get the invitation. Besides that, the ex students are really honoured. Some of the star Alumni names are printed in the magazine
Admission
First thing first, you should've minimum 50% to enroll for this course. You've got to get a print out of the forms available online, fill the necessary details and submit with some documents or a photo copy of them. After your name comes in the list, they ask to pay the fees and the original documents.
Faculty
Teachers are a lot suppportive. Other than studies, they solve your personal problems too. Some are strict but it works. We've counselling here so that every person is comfortable in sharing there problems.
