Pros and cons of uttaranchal university

The teaching and the curriculum are the same as any other average university would provide. Pretty decent and good enough. The faculty might not teach everything in the course but that's the same in any other college too! We have enough time for exams

As a first-year student i am not 100% sure about placements but as of what i talked to my seniors they said there are not much placements for the CSE course as there are way too many students. But the university did say that there are some pretty good companies,

The total fee per year including hostel is 2.5 lakhs for south students and around 3-4 lakhs for north students. So, the total fee for south students comes nearly at 10-11 lakhs and for north students its around 15-16 lakhs and the difference in fee comes with the difference in food served

Fests are really bad here! They force you to pay for a few, and they force everyone to attend the events where there is no space for everyone in the auditorium. After the auditorium is filled, the doors to the entrance and exit will be locked! And then we have to wait for 1-2 hrs for the event to start which will be really boring.

They said they will give us a 4 sharing room and took the money for a 4 sharing room but they gave us a 3 sharing room which can accommodate for just 3 beds, wardrobes and tables! But they push 4 students to stay in one room! And we still dont have enough tables in any of the rooms in the hostel! We just have 1-2 tables and 3 rarely thats it. But the food is not that bad, adjustable.

Before joining, the administration department did lied to us about a few things like hostel rooms, food, washrooms, course curriculum, placements, etc. But this university has a lower fee compared to the other universities so it is pretty affordable.

The faculty is mostly fine except for the once who are supposed to teach computer languages. Neither me or my friends from the other sections can't understand what they say! Apart from the that all the other faculty are pretty good

The gym is paid and overcrowded. Cafeteria, library, food court etc are good but the infrastructure of the college is the ok! The same 2-3 dull colours all over the university! Walks in night can be pretty good for boys as the girls will be sent to hostels at night after 6-7pm
