Fees and Financial Aid

I am pursuing bachelor degree from school of open learning , delhi university from commerce background. It is one of the most powerful affordable options for strudents who prefer distance learning. the fee structure is quite economical compared to regular colleges , making it accessible for students from different financial background. my year wise fee structure in DU SOL has been break dwon as follows: in first year : 10000-12000 which included admission tuition and examinatiion fees) in second year: 10500-11500 3rd year :10000-12000 so by all these total fee structure : 38000-40000 DU SOL never charges any additional fees/. there are age relaxation for some of the reserved categories like OBC, SC/ST and othere minor categories. the conclusion for thius topic has eloborated that the best and affordable study option from distance learning is DU SOL which you can apply from all over india with linient fees.

Campus Life

4

my experience in campus facility was not very good because everything in the campus was not fully determined and provided such as following : 1. no fest activitiues to attend 2. no cultural fest to attend 3. no facility of library 4. no guidance of teacher.

Admission

I choose this college over other colleges because in delhi only delhi university regular college is the most knownn and well reputed university. i applied but didnt qualify according to cut offs and in othern state i applied and cleared but didnt go through because i dont wanted to shift myslef from delhi just for bcom programme. i cleared in jagannath university, ddu gorakhpur, nicmar university.

Faculty

4

SO NOW HERE MENTIONING ABOUT THE STUDENT FACULTY RATIO ALONG WITH RELATION: 1. the students and faculty were only connected if students want to study. 2. the student and facukty relation of study also depem=nd if teacher is interested or not 3. the teacher were mnot interested and demotivated to other student who were attending class by saying that we cant study fom du sol 4. the students were also leaving the class anytime and disrespecting to teacher. 5. college management was also piutting no restriction to followed on student to maintain decorum.

Night Life

4

there was no any gym facility available in campus there was no any cafeteria or any library available for distance learning students there was no sports facility available there were no daily updates or career guidance or any cultural program there were no placement acitvities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the BCom Hons course curriculum at SBSC around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was because it offers a good mix of commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, and Corporate Law, along with exposure to Economics and Management, which seemed useful whether I go for MBA or competitive exams later. The first-year subjects felt more like a base, but from second semester onward it started to get a bit more practical. Each subject has 25 marks for internals and 75 for the main exam. Most exams are 3 hours long and subjective, and I’d say the difficulty level is moderate. If you’ve been regular with notes and study the past papers, it’s not hard to pass, but getting 8+ CGPA requires consistent effort. Overall, the curriculum gives a decent foundation but it could be way better if more practical components and industry exposure were added.

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
