Course Curriculum Overview

3

I opted this course because of its strong theoritical foundation and relevance in Computer science field, and i have a strong interest in Comptuer science. The syllabus cover core concepts and specialised subjests also. The theoretical aspects well-stuctured, but pratical exposure was somewhat limited. And i think more internships and industry collaborations could make the curriculum mor impactful. In our college the exam were conducted thrice once internal 1 and then internal 2 and then final means the external exams. The difficultly level always vary like some paper come so basic and some are challenging. I prefer to use Rg publication'ssample paper for exam practice.

Placement Experience

3

By the 7th semester the students will be elligible for the campus placement. And companies like Wipro, TCS, Hike, and ZopSmart etc visited and made almost 10-20% offer in total. Highest package for the last year was 14 lakh. Around 50% student got placed till now this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for my course intially 90000 per year so for complete course my fee was 36000 but it was negotiable at that time, and some students were charged 80000 per year. However college has now incresed the fee sturcture for almost all the courses, including mine course.

Campus Life

3

The fest of our college is always amazing and other events are also there like diwali fest, holi fest and dandiya nights. Our college celebrate almost every festival. If we talk about accessibility of books in library so yes library is so amazing and actions book, friction books, story book, novals, subjects boo and other knowledgeblebook are also available in our library. There is no such extra sports activity in college but yes we celebrates the sports day every year and the winners get medals and certificates.

Admission

I selected this college cause it's too near to my place andanother biggest resaon is attendace. There are not so much restriction on the short attandance in this college. So we could focus more on our career related cousres and self study. As some college give a real world or practical tech enviroment to the students by organising tech events like hakathons and all , our college don't. and this something which could be better. Admission process was easy and basic like we just have to take our document fill the registration formand they will tell us the fee sturcture and may ask for a campus tour also. If you would like to so they will processyour regsitrartion. If you fulfill basic creterias like PCM in12th for enggineering etc.

Faculty

3

The faculty is very supportive and knowledgeble. My course is of 4 years and have 8 semester, whereas the first and second semester don;t have many tech related subjects. Im 1st semester only C proggramimng have been taught and in sencind C++ then in 3rd sem DSA and other tech subjects comes. If we talk about marking scheme, so 25 marks are internal which includes attendance, internal exam and practicals marks and 75 marks of the final exam (external exam).

Night Life

5

The nightlife around college is quite lively and convenient, as it is located in janakpuri, which has several cafes, eateries and entertainment spots. Veer gym is also located right in front of the college. There are many cafes around like Xero Degree Janak Place etc. And Janak Cinema, which is about 5-10 minutes walking distance, is a popular place. And the Hostel and gym is also there in the college but for girls only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
