All about upes you need to know

In design domain upes is very famous for game design according to me and upes has also facilities like vr experience and i have decided to either go for ui ux or for game design but as per i have heard ui ux they just teach coding and so design applied which is not a nice thing according to me they should have atleast build base and all but let's see. Talking about teaching methods they really need to improve foundation year as there is like better basics in design in normal but popular coaching centers atleast they should have worth the money or fees they take.

Upes mandatory intership program so that students get experience and provided with stripend, which is summer internship program and it is mandatory otherwise you will have back in that so you have to do summer school in that. For first-years upes provides with social internship which is called srijan. Stipends for internships vary based on the organization, role, and duration. While some NGOs may offer minimal stipends, the experiential learning and societal impact are significant.they also provide project based which studetmnts do and get certificate

In 3 rd year students geet internship upes tries to bring paid internships which are beneficial and from 6th semester students are eligible for placements but there was an external case last or a year before were a students was hired from 2 nd year by adidas for like 50 lakhs per annum which is very good package in design according to me and i think 70 percent students gets the placements they can improve very much in design

The fees is basically around 24 lakhs excluding other facikities like hostels and all uts quite expensive to afford per semester it takes 2-3 lakhs. Scholarships changes semester wise depending on the result

We have an annual fest planned by college itself called uurja it is very much popular among students it has dance, dj, theme party, fashion shows. In technical events we have hackathon which is held around october. Books availability is very good in upesThe Central Library has a vast collection of books, research papers, and digital journals.they also provide with softwares Design students can find books on UI/UX, branding, fashion, and architecture.Smart classrooms with AV setups, digital boards, and projectors.Design studios with Wacom tablets, 3D printers, laser cutting machines, and high-end PCs which is imac studios which have like 27 i macs available for students. Sports facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, and badminton students have everyday practice and there are sports fest held called spandan every year and also inter college fests.

I applied in nid only if i had qualified the 2nd round i would have gone for it but my second option was upes because there are not many design colleges and upes has a good design reputation in market but not more than nid so it was my second option. I had many colleges invitation like d y patil or lpu or pearl but not very good reputation so i rejected them. I gaved the exam of upes there were 2 rounds first online written exam second interview round i qualified both for addmission i gaved 1 lakh rupees which was from fees only then submitted the semester 1 installment

I am design so in design some faculties are really good and has a good sense of design but some are just artist who are pushed into design yeah we shoukd have fine arts faculty but 1-2 is enough there is more quatity of fine arts faculty than design faculty i hope they overcome this. So in design we don't have mid sem instead we have internal marking which is held with exhibition after every module and end sem juries which is good and this is how exactly its supposed to be.. this is in foundation year later in second/ third year we choose our own speciations in which we are marked on the bases of projects given to us by respective faculties and as per first year 2nd and 3rd year also as end semester juries btw juries are only for one day there is 2 internal juries and 1 external jury. Also juries are brutal as it is nor very heavy marking its just of around 30 - 40 marks its just giving of feedbacks but juries sometimes disagree with each other and give pressure to the student who is presenting and also faculties can sometimes be so much and so much biased which just affects the students marks who he/ she doesn't like and this has taken place with me many times

Gym is first cum first base they provide forms every start of the year. Cafeterias and sitting areas are very well spaced there are many outlets including dunkins and dominos in side the campus. The library has differnet sections like reading areas discussion rooms etc and its pretty good
