Course Curriculum Overview
The freedom to be as creative as I can be is the one thing that attracted me to pursue this course while learning I realize that the course itself will provide you with the outline of what is needed and going on in the industry but it's completely up to the student how well he or she wants to prepare themselves for the industry. But I think our course could include the latest developments in the industry highlighting the challenges and opportunities in the current era. We dont have exams in design, we have juries and exhibitions where we have to present our works and get hands-on review
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The tuition fees are high as the college provides you with world-class facilities and facilities so it charges for that and then adding other additional charges your budget for the complete time period of the program should be around 25 lacs or above but worry not college does provide you with a lot of scholarships.
Campus Life
We have a lot of festivals as the college has students from around the world and to create an inclusive environment and know about the regional cultures and festivals, we have a lot of occasions in college where we can dress up nicely. We also have DJ nights around the year. There is an annual sports festival named Spandan and the biggest festival of the University itself is Urja. Apart from this, we have a very large collection of books in our library and the library in general is pretty advanced, to make the experience contactless and digital. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, speakers and marker boards. There are lot of clubs and student chapters that you can join based on your area of interest.
Admission
My admission process was pretty smooth. I was admitted based on my mid results and a small interview which felt like a nice discussion with the interviewer where I got to show my work, interest areas, aspirations, etc. You will be provided with an application form from the website or you can visit the campus where you will also get a tour of the campus. Currently, as of now, we have a pretty good admission process so I dont have any suggestions for now.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is pretty much dependent on the field that you are choosing for example currently interaction design has a lot of scope, so number of students is higher in those classes but overall its balanced and that faculty that are here are well versed in their fields. They come with a lot of experience from corporates and other institutions as most of them hails from the best of both. We have to interact a lot with the facility considering ours is a non technical field and it requires careful and accurate guidance by the faculty.
Interview Experience
No we didn't have any gd because we couldn't visit the campus at that time due to covid so what we have was online interview with a faculty where we were assessed based on different standards. Personally i didn't prepare for it because i knew what i want and need and just talked a little bit about that during the interview
