Course Curriculum Overview

3

so each SEM. We have a new language computer language to be specific and a new software being learned by highly professional teachers which makes it quite interesting and informative. so the course curriculum focus on the current trends in which the AI, the IT companies are heading towards which is Java Python web development. These all are covered in our course curriculum which prepares us for the real world, and we don't specifically need to learn this separately from our course as it is included in that itself, we also have data structures which is very important in terms of placement and most of the interviews or the interviewers ask questions from data structure itself and our course curriculum also includes labs so we implement whatever we learn and computers and we have quite a good coding experience as all these labs are compulsory, and we also give a end term exam for every new software or new language. We learn. what I would suggest improving the course curriculum would be. I don't prefer learning another language subject, which is being compulsory for all the students to opt among German, Spanish and French. So I have taken German and I believe this is a really unnecessary subject being added. and the difficulty of exam level would be around 4 out of 5, but the teachers provide important questions or question bank prior the exam and they have really great teaching skills which makes it really easy for each students to understand in the class itself

Placement Experience

4

The placements in the college are quite great. If I am talking about this year among my friends who are in fourth year, most of them are placed around 85% of them are placed and 15% are those students who are for higher education or maybe want to do higher education in foreign. That's why these guys didn't even for placements and the average package was around 4 to 5 lakhs, and the highest package grab was 33 lakhs per annum which was offered by a Japanese company, and we had many big company like Tata Adani Capgemini IBM Infosys taking campus drive in our company so if you want to be eligible for campus placement , you have to be in seventh and 8th sem so even I want to grab a placement from the college itself so that I do not face difficulties by applying in LinkedIn and then looking for a job or maybe seeking out for reference, so I highly want to grab placement from our campus placement itself

Fees and Financial Aid

so I am currently studying in Amity university, Mumbai and I have opted for bTech CSE, and I'm currently in my cardio so each S the fee is getting increased by 7000 and SMC is approx 1.5 lakhs and a year. It's approx three lakhs and by the completion of four years, the amount would be around 10 to 11 lakhs for the complete course to get completed, Amity University also provide scholarship in terms of your class 12th mark sheet and JEE score. The scholarships are either 25%, 50% or hundred percent of the asked amount of that particular sem so as I got 86 percentage in my 12th, I was provided with 25% of scholarship So this scholarship is provided only for the first year for the students and if they want to continue their scholarship, then they have to score well enough, which is around 8.5 CGPA plus in their term examination, and they can continue their scholarship till the four years And there are no such extra education fee asked from Amity. so if you're talking about other courses, the fee varies BTech students and students who are doing MBA. They have higher fees in comparatively to the other courses like my friends who are doing architecture have to pay around 50 to 60,000 sem and my another friend, who is doing BCA is paying 70,000 a sem.

Campus Life

5

so we have a great campus life as it's a really big campus, and the students are quite great. We have a really great interaction. so we have many social groups while running like singing, club, dancing club, digital media club and many more so each and every month we have events conducted by separate department, so Amity school of engineering conduct technicia, they have coding events and sports events, including and Amity University of biotech technology has event named amibiome and so on so we have really great facilities. We have basketball court, badminton court, tennis court, football court, court and many more and in terms of sports. We are also taken to separate tournaments in different colleges and we participate and we also have many tournament inside our college itself, like cricket league, badminton league, football league and many more, and we have two libraries one is in the engineering block and the other one is in a two building, which is our new library, which is really big and lavish and has books from every genre

Hostel Facilities

5

For the hostel facilities are quite great. You are really great hostel. We have a dorm consisting of three rooms. Each room would be consisting two. That's for two people and six people have to share one washroom and enforce year. I used to have an AC dorm and I have to pay 1,30,000 and now currently I shifted to AC room which is around 80,000 year And Mess food facility is included in this hostel. This is just for accommodation hostel fee also includes our laundry and all other campus facilities, so our hostel is quite affordable. If we compare to colleges which are in main Mumbai as they cost three lakhs a year, so it is around 50% cut-off from that amount and yes if you aren't having a hostel, then you have to rent PG or you have to rent a room then it's around 6 km from our campus , so usually people live in India Bulls society and marathon and Godrej et cetera at Night in hostel. We also have Night Canteen facilities where we have to pay and eat, and if you want to take Mess, then you have to pay separately 4500 every month and you will be getting food four times a day which is really great and currently the previous month I taken Mess so this month I'm gonna pay and it and we have two cafeteria as well as below the girls hostel , which is MRC and the cafeteria is below boys hostel, which is a Sai and we have food outlets as well where we can pay and eat and the food quality is really nice and there is also really great concerning issue that we don't have non-veg inside our campus because they have signed some documents with animal welfare organisation, which doesn't allow them to have meat inside the campus, but yes, if we can order from Zomato and have it inside the campus

Admission

so even my sister has passed her BTech CSE degree from Amity university, Jaipur and she placed by the campus placement and she is doing really great financially and is currently living in Dubai. So that really inspired me to join any private colleges, so I searched in google best private colleges in Mumbai for BTech CSE and I got to know how many was on top in terms of placement as they provide hundred percent placement, and because of these reasons, I was very attracted towards Amity university, Mumbai and most of the colleges in Mumbai have really small campus size. They are just a building or two and they call it as university, but Amity university is around 102 150 acres maybe, and they have a really great facilities , even the sports complex is quite great, which makes me follow my childhood dream with studies as well so the admission process of this college was quite easy. They were just asking me my JEE score and my CBSE mark sheet and they just wanted me to prepare a 5 to 10 minutes, preparatory introduction video. These guys didn't even had any eligibility exam or maybe eligibility marks for admission. You just have to clear each and every paper in your 12th was the criteria.

Faculty

4

So our batch consist around 250 students and three sections each consisting of 60 students. So each faculty is teaching 60 students in every class and we have a great structure which includes learning, new software and new computer language each sem which makes it quite interesting. most of the faculties are highly educated and have great experience and most of them are IIT graduates or maybe have been a professor and all senior facilities have done PhD and are very cooperative. So the exams are being conducted twice a SEM1 is the mid term exam which is being conducted after a month of the start of that particular SEM and the other one is an term exam, so the midterm exam is of 30 marks, each subject and The endo exam is of 70 marks each subject. We also have a great initiative taken by the Amity University, which is compulsory for every department that each sem the students have to learn two days BEH behavioural science which helps in students mental health

Night Life

1

so this is a really great issue in our college that as I am a hostler, I have to get inside our hostel around 9 PM and all the callers have to get outside of the campus at 9 PM itself, so you cannot roam after 9 PM, and you have to do your dinner by 830 itself so that you can roam a little and then go inside hostel or maybe go outside the campus so because of this, we are not in activities and we have really less memories going outside late night as we are not allowed to enter campus after 10:30 PM. We can only come at 6 AM. If you're going out, you're not allowed to come inside.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college are the weakest point of the college because you can see that less than 50% of students can get jobs through college and that too with a mediocre package of 2 lpa or 3 lpa. Very few less than 20 companies visit college. Some of them are, Adani, Tata Power, Accenture, etc. The highest package offered was 12lpa and the average is 3lpa. After my degree, I am looking for a job.
