Course Curriculum Overview
different people have different choices in my case, i choosed this course (god's plan actually) as i wanted to get into tech field and i will persure phd after completing my bachelors degree. as my course is in research oriented field, it do have various benefits, you can be professor or something after persuing phd directly after bachelors, you do learn coding there is not a huge difference between bsc, bca and btech cse all the somewhat same, atleast our subjects are somewhat similar.
Internships Opportunities
jamia hamdard university has a industry academia partnership cell that helps students find intership and placement opportunity. internship in many hospitals including jamia hmadard has its own hospital majeedia and unani. also in safdarjung, max and batra.
Placement Experience
from my seniors i have heared its a tier 3 college dont expect for placements and all, well its somewhat true at the end its your skills that matters to get placement etc. rather than depending on the college you must work hard on your own skill to crack any placement/job (just the matter of hardwork and luck). average package was of 4lakh per annum. we'll my plans after getting the degree is to study more and persure PHD, i might do some freelancing i am not sure currently neither sure of working soon.
Fees and Financial Aid
for my bsc computer science (hons) program the total fee is 4,40,000 rupees. which is divided across four years as 1,10,000 per year . apart from this there are additional charges that students need to pay at the time of adimission, admission fee: 5,000 INR (one time payment). enrolment fee: 5,000 INR (one time payment). examination fee : 5,000 INR ( one time payment). library deposit : 5,000 INR ( refundable). The university offer merit based scholorship for students who achieve 70% or abive in their academics . additionally, the student must not have failed in any subject to be eligible. the scholorship amount in approx 24,000 INR per annum, significantly reducing the financial load on students and their families. Moreover, jamia hamdard also extends scholorahip to students from economically weaker backgrounds based on academic performance and family income. this initiative ensures that education remians accessible to all, regardless of financial constraints . jamia hamdard may changes its fees from year to year
Campus Life
there are a lot of clubs in tech, i have participated in one of them which helps me to interact with my seniors and gain knowledge. annual fest do happen here this year it was fun i attended it, a good experince and to make good memories in college life which is also gonna matter. the library is quite good, you can get books of your course also the teachers share you pdf and things too. the extracurricular activities , i havent participated yet in sports but my friends have and they do have matches of volleyball, basketball etc including NCC. the college life is amazing if you live in hostel, insdie the campus its totally gonna be fun with friends the campus is huge and it looks beautiful in the evening specially when it rains, it has a lot greenry which i love the most.
Admission
i waasnt specified for any college, i was okay if i got any. as a student of jamia millia obviously it was my first aim but i didnt knew that they conduct their own exam for few courses and not a common entrance test like other universities also jamia hamdard is close to my house i didnt wanted to leave delhi anyhow. jamia hamdard isnt government but it is deemed to be. also beacuse of the environment i choosed this college which is decent unlike amity. i applied in DU colleges too but i didnt got my desire course so i didnt took admission in DU also there was an issue of documents DU always ask for on date cast certificate, which i didnt had it was just 2 months old. but in hamdard there isnt a thing like this for documentations so no headache. the admission was on the basis of merit list, i gave cuet and jee both and gave both of the documents for counciling but in my course the cutoff was based on the cuet score, maths or computer in 12th was coumplsory. Unlike DU the examination process was quite easy i didnt had to make those long list of colles vs course. but ofcourse the fee is high as compared to DU. the college isnt that bad i loved it ( focus on degree/ skills and study at the end this is all matters).
Faculty
the faculty at jamia hamdard are knowledgeable and supportive creating a greate learning environment. however, like any institutions, a few faculty members may not meet the same level of engagment. Currently i am in first year so according to me i liked assistant prof.Nafirsur rahman sir, loved the way he teaches and is very supportive, gives career guidance to the students. In total there are 2 sessional exam and one semester exam, the exams arent that hard if your study enough, dont hope for cheating as the faculty is strict. in few subject like maths, the teacher actually fails you for no reason so try to study hard once you get to know your subject faculty.
Night Life
nightlife in college is amazing the campus looks soo beautiful and peaceful during night, campus have a lot of cafeterias you can go to any you love to. every department has its own. as jamia hamdard is near kalkaji so you can enjoy time out with your friends in kalkaji which is amazing place. jamia hamdard has outdoor gym i an not sure about indoor but it has indoor badminton court.
