- Students have no placement , few internship opportunities
- Very expensive, especially the hostel fees
- University is in middle of no where , no shops , need to walk long distance for bus stop
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is in align with current industry standards, they update curriculum more frequently than other universities teaching relevant skills for on going job market . Final semester focus on skill development.
Internships Opportunities
I am a 1st year student now as of ive heard We do internships during the final semester. University offers internship but some students express concern regarding quality associated with these positions, students seek off campus positions independently . There is limitations in terms of availability of on campus internships
Fees and Financial Aid
We have fee of 55,000 first sem and 50,000 for rest The 5000 is refundable caution deposit for Msc programs for all students. There is post matric scholarship for SC students, MCM, post graduate indira gandhi scholarship for single girl child, national scholarship for post graduate students
Campus Life
VYUHAM is the name of our 1st technofest we conducted other than that there isn't much when it comes to fests. We only have a few number of students only for phd s and pg s and its new university . We conduct university sports each year . Nothing on monthly basis. Overall my experience is good
Hostel Facilities
I live in universitys girls hostel facility. We have 2 sharing single room . Table for each , wardrobe and balcony looks good, no attached bathroom, water purifier, washing machine and running hot water, staff cleans the room weekly and has easy access to gym. Its a different story for boys
Admission
I was looking for specialisation in Geoinformatics which was a rare for masters course in Kerala or India. Its way affordable than my other options like symbiosis pune and has much better quality faculty that JSS and was nearby
Faculty
Its a professional relationships between students and faculty. They are approachable.70 percent of the marks are for internal assessment like assignments and quizzes tailored for each course and the 40 percent are for final summative exam for each semester. Respective faculty decides the difficulty
Night Life
We have gym in the evening and morning separate time for boys and girls. We have one Nescafe, blisscafe and a kudumbasree stall inside. We can access university any time so we can hangout it classrooms study in library till 2 . Good security but outside campus its not safe its in middle of no where
