Remarks

I got admission through an entrance exam. IIITM-K is affiliation with CUSAT university which is quite prestigious. They have very unique specialisations which are tailored to the current industry trends.

Internships Opportunities

Either you can do internships with faculties if you are more academically motivated or you could do internships from outside companies. And there is a lot of companies in technopark for that matter.

Placement Experience

From the beginning of 3rd-semester placements begin to happen. companies come in for specialist as well as general IT jobs. None can guarantee that you will be placed at the end of your course. If you really put in the effort you will get ample opportunities to showcase your talent.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hikes do happen. In my case, the fee was nearly the same amount they initially told us. I got an educational loan for the course easily enough. For the final set internship, I got to work with a start-up Cuspera Pvt Ltd in Bangalore. It was paid. Later on, I got an interview with another company and got an offer letter for a job.

Campus Life

IIITM-K hosts very less cultural activities owing to the busy schedule and vast curriculum but you get to go to any event that happens in Technopark.

The best college for study

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).

Quite unnoticed, yet ahead of time

The best remark I could make here is that the college gives you the freedom to work and push your ideas. The facilities like Cisco Thingqbator, Kerala Startup Mission and Fablab can take you to another level. The bad remark is that the institute's own premises are less and offer no hostels. It provides higher education

The best thing I found there is a Cisco Thingqbator (Maker space) where we can build IoT devices and more.Cisco is doing this project with partnershiping with Nasscom and Defy.Li2 conduct lot of workshops under Thingqbator about IoT and machine learning and lot of things.Even they mantor students to build their idea which is submitted under cohort programs hosted by them and provide all fecilities and equipments.This is the only one thing that I kike in this Institute.It is well maintained by Cisco not by our administration.That may be the reason it is well maintained....Read More
