Remarks

The best thing about my college is that all the professors are enthusiastic to help even if it’s about subjects that you have not taken. Another best part is the environment which is full of trees and greenery. This makes it very inviting.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Exams are written only. However there are practical assignments which are graded. The course curriculum is satisfactory to the most part however it is important to bring newer technology and make available softwares and equipment for photography and video editing since it is a media program.

Placement Experience

3

There is no specific placement cell in the college. But through the visiting faculties and the contacts of inhouse faculties, job opportunities can be availed. The college helps in approaching media houses for internships but does not guarantee internships to all.

College Events

4

One is the university fest that all students from all faculties can participate in. And the other is Kaafila, the faculty festival which is held annually. We organise media related events and competitions during Kaafila

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are not particularly expensive since it’s a government institution. However we don’t see why some of the computer are not replaced or debugged even if we’re paying quite a sufficient amount. I mean to say there is hardly any maintainance of the assets in my college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any loan or scholarships provided by my college.

Campus Life

3.5

They are quite satisfactory. All students have access to the university Pavillion where all sports events take place. The labs exist for respective faculties and are well maintained. The sports teachers are skilled and the equipment is always maintained .

Alumni/Alumna

I don’t think we have an alumni network. Not one that I am aware of atleast. The senior students are quite helpful even after they graduate. Sometimes the alumni visits and talks about their experiences and sometimes the alumni teach as visiting faculty.

Admission

First you have to give a written exam which has questions related to news and current affairs. After that you have to participate in a Group Discussion with the other applicants. And finally, after a Personal Interview with the faculty your admission will be decided.

Faculty

4

The in-house faculty are excellent, experienced, knowledgeable and helpful however. The visiting faculties need to be from very diverse fields and should teach practically. The visiting faculties also need to be experienced so they can guide us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course fortunately covers various dimensions of the media field, but I feel that it lacks information on core Journalism. To be specific, while the curriculum has topics like writing and editing for print media, there is no mention of topics like page design and editing, due to which the students lack the necessary skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very well designed but not updated as per the recent industry standards if the respective fields. There are no subjects lile vontent writing or learning graphic designing as it's requied in the feild of mass communication. I wanted to learn news anchoring as that's why I remeber joining this course but there is no training to the practical aspects. If they add certificate courses or workshops on things that the industry is requiring it will make the students good enoug to go and earn as soon as the graduate. The exams are taken at teh very right times and the frequency is goo the difficulty level is same for student wo attend and the one who never came to college even once in the entire semester

Once you reach to 5th sem, you are supposed to do a compulsory academic internship and in the 6th semester, you might get placed based on your 5th sem internship performance. I don't know much about the insiders but the placement cell is very active for other departments as well.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are the best part of the university. From the last semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Times of India, Hindustan Times, Dainik Bhaskar, Danik Navjyoti, CNN, Sandesh, Star TV Network visited the campus. The internship opportunity is also really good. Almost 85% of students get campus placements. I want to be a news anchor after the completion of my degree.
