Course Curriculum Overview

3

The real reason to opt for the course is mainly courses in the sem 5 and sem 6 where they provide courses that are useful for the applicstuon in the industry as well as giving a good knowledge required for the tech . Also the flexibility to choose an optional module in the course attracted me most , giving me more suitable option for me to choose in the course while not affecting my carrer or path entirely

Internships Opportunities

4

As a fresher i don't think im eligible to talk about the internship as I didn't have involved much in it but some of the internship offers were from tcs , hcl , capgemini where stipend offers were around 5-10k ( This information is only based on the offers I get in the official groups and is not a direct review)

Placement Experience

3

Placement is ok , not very good but not bad. And the best placement in the college is mainly for mba and bca students. The placement for btech and other courses aren't great compared to bca and mba . The avg package for bca is around 4-5 lpa and highest package for overall placement is around 14lpa Some companies are hcl, dell, tata, capgemini etc . The no of companies around 30-60. The percentage of the placement is around 97% My plans after getting degree are for gaining experience for 2-3 years and going for masters abroad. Which the plans might change due to the situation of the industry market and other environments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee per year:- 1,50,000 Admission fee:- 25,000(which is a part of 1,50,000 of first year) Till now any other payments hasn't been collected Lots of scholarships are available but a student can only avail one . Mostly are merit based but there are also need based on the residents region and family background . Merit scholarships are applicable only for first year.

Campus Life

3

The college have facility for sports which are accessible from 8-5, which include football ground, volleyball, basketball, cricket ground and badminton. There are multiple food vendors or stores including cafe coffee day and subway in the campus itself which are accessible till from morning to evening. Library consists of mainly books which are required for studies and the range of books are more than 100. Facility in classes are average not great , even though sockets are available to the chair , most of them aren't even working . The college wifi is pretty good and fast depending on the traffic but most of the time its good. For ec, clubs are very much active and it depends on the participants to participate and make it more active and involvement would help you gain networking and other accessiblity in the college easier. For programs they have multiple program mainly noted and free of tickets are invincia , talent show, ethinic day , freshers day , farewell party etc. There are other multiple small festivals and programs which will be conducted but won't be able to be noticed as sometimes it will be conducted in the time of classes or exams and many students will be missing on the programs and small fests.

Admission

I mainly applied for uni in abroad and got into 5-9 uni which include newcastle university, university of arizona , arizona state university, uni of texas . Although my preference was going abroad, my financial situation didn't allow me to choose this option despite working hard for the application and getting in . After that i applied into 4 uni in india , which includes ashoka , krea , christ and presidency. Ashoka and christ rejected me but got into krea but the fee was very expensive indeed. And the other colleges i applied were of state colleges in kerala through govt allotment which i didn't choose as i got into colleges for course i didn't want go for . I gave for cuet but the results were published too late . So leaving me the 2 best option was krea and presidency . But during the choosing option , I saw jain and applied for jain too but the fee was higher and I felt that it wasn't worth paying 1lakh more per year and krea was 8lakh as i forgot to apply for financial aid and finally i chose to go with presidency uni . Also after choosing presidency, I got offer from SRM but the location was more remote than my current location, that was the reason i didn't choose for srm .

Faculty

3

The faculty members are good but it depends on the each faculty but most of them are sincere to their work, have good knowledge and tries to share every knowledge they can and teaches in method that could benefit for the life after education too . But sometimes the rigid decision and strictness can make many students fear of the class or faculty and it also affects perfomance of the class. Although there are strict faculties, there are also faculties who are friendly and encourages to keep in touch with them . The course structure of bca is good but still feels basic and lacks of advanced program . And the sem feel short that it feels like you are rushing in the class but it depends on how good the faculty is at managing the time and syllabus. Incase of exams and assessments, internals are pretty rigid and will be given only if the assignments , notes , records etc are completed . And there will be two exam in a sem which are midterm and endterm. Usually the structure comes where internal+ca :- 50 midterm:- 50 and endterm:-100 marks where 80/200 is one condition to pass and other one is 45/150(midterm and endterm only)

Night Life

2

College is not accessible at night but the college hostel has facikites like gym , football ground , basketball ground which they can access . The locality is pretty much a remote area and its not too safe , but okay and wouldn't recommend to roam at night after 11 as police would be patrolling and would get scold or beating if they see you roam after 11(pretty much a thing all over bangalore). Usual hangout places are the lawn area in the college or college cafeteria. About campus in timing is from 6am-6pm and for the college hostel as I stay in a pg nearby , i don't know much about the timing but if my guess is right its around 7pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

Speaking about course curriculum that had a different story like I wanted to become a doctor and I belong to a biology background in my puc but I had some health issues that's the reason I couldn't attend my NEET exam also I couldn't waste one complete year so that's the reason I chose BCA. But once I joined I realised tat it was that difficult and it actually became my interest. Curriculum provides a set of courses where students can first understand about each course and then look into the courses and select any of those depending on their interest. So I feel that's required and that's very important for every student. I would suggest to give a demo to students which means to tell them wat all a particular course has, what all students can take, and to tell them which career opportunities which course provides. We had 60 marks paper with 2.3 hours of time it wasn't that difficult only if uh are prepared. Again it all depends on the preparation and hard work of the students. The question paper is made considered the average students as well. So it wasn't that difficult until you get familiar with the subjects.
