- Firstly Teachers I liked most, because teachers are extremely friendly. The H.O.D of our department is so friendly, he treats students after completing their assignments.
- Library, Here the library is the best option for self study, Library is the mostsilent place in the college and all kinds of books available in it.If there any book not available then there is always the alternative option of this book.
- Events, like tech fest,ideajam,and cultural & social fest are occurring all time in this college which helps to create new innovative ideas among students.
Dislikes
- Management, the college's management is weak because when any notification came from college their last date validity upto 1 or 2 days. Means, they gave the notification in their group at last days.
- College playground, college playground is so small in front of this college but there are a big playground exists in the back side of the college which is not so clean well. When Sports day came,the playground clears.
- Indoor games are exists in the college but the keys of the rooms are a hidden gem. Where is the keys this is a big question, we have to ask every teacher do you have the keys? After confirming so many teachers, we get the key.
Course Curriculum Overview
The market value of B.Tech in C.S.E is high and the salary package is always good for C.S.E people. For this reason I pursued B.tech in C.S.E. In this degree, We have to give 2 semester in a year .The difficulty level of the exam is moderate.
Placement Experience
There exists campus placement. Average package is 3.6 LPA. In this year,the highest package was 14LPA in tcs. From 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Tcs,Wipro, cognizant and many other companies came for placement.82% students are getting placed from this college. After getting the degree, I want minimum 6LPA in tcs.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 4,02,000 in this college for my B.tech C.S.E Degree. In this amount includes all fees like tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and other compulsory charges. There are no other extra hidden cost.All students have same fees there are not any reservation.But, who came with good WBJEE rank in this college and their family income is less than 1.5 lakh anually, they got a special quota where they have to pay only 70000 to 80000 in 4 years. Here, I got the SVMCM Scholarship where I got 60000 rupees per year.For this Scholarship,I have to maintain 60% in my college result. This college have a special plus point because this is under makaut and under the join venture of JIS and Techno India,where techno India sees the placement part.But the price of this degree in this college may be increase in next year.
Campus Life
I think this is a good college.and I give overall 8 marks out of 10. There are so many annual and technical festivals like techfest, Ideajam, Social and Cultural Fest, Basanta Utsav. In Library, there are so many accessibility of books and journals and upanyas. Sports is the weak point of this college. No there are not any student-run special groups.
Admission
I applied other colleges, in some college I have selected and in some colleges, I have rejected.I choiced this college because this is the college which is under Makaut and with the join venture of JIS and Techno India. In engineering degree, Makaut college have a special aura. In this college they except WBJEE, JEE MAIN.
Faculty
In fisrt year, BSHU Department there are 1 chemistry teacher, 1 physics teacher, 2 maths teacher, 2 english mam and In CSE department, there are total 8 teacher also. I personally like Chemistry teacher Dr.Soumya Bhowal. He is the most friendly teacher in our college.He came from IIT Guwahati, his example skills to understand any topic is awesome.We are fond of his teaching style. All the teachers are great but Our english mam, is not so good I think. Her teaching style is good but all the things depends on her mood. If her mood is good then she is friendly and if her mood is bad then she is quaking above all the students.
Night Life
The library closes at 6 p.m.. Outside the college there are not so good food stall or restaurant. But, in 700meter there is a best food restaurant named Payel Restaurant. There is a gym also.The hostel time is morning 5 A.M to 10P.M. The famous hangout place is Payel Restaurant and B.K. pub for dance and masti in night.
