Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have Btech CSE, with major in Data Science and Minor in Android Development. These both courses are industrial based courses. And also having core subjects, Operating System, Database, Data structures, Networks. All subjects are related to industries. But some area needs improvement. Like in data science course I having R programming, which is not used more in industries nowadays. So replace it with Python. And semester are only 4-5months, i suggest it to make it proper 6month schedule.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are good but it is very very competitive because of number of students is so high, in my batch their are 4000 students out of which 1500 are placed and some are opted of higher education, government exams and other things and approx 300-400 are unplaced yet.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester wise : Tution fee - 120000 Exam fee - 4000 Scholarship - 24000 Total : 100000 They also take placement fee of 14000 And alumi fee of 1500 Yearly : 200000 Yes they indirectly increase the fees like by hostel and mess fee.

Campus Life

5

Campus of LPU is so cool, having big auditoriums to having Shopping mall and also hospital inside a campus. Their indoor sports complex is huge means amazing. Lpu also conducted various tournament and various sports. Their are many clubs is present in campus to join it and experience various things get exposure.

Hostel Facilities

4

In hostel they provide various facilities, Laundry, study room, cafe area. They have different types of room Ac and non AC. And having 1 seater, 2 seater, 3 seater, 4 seater and 5 seater. They also provide gieger for hot water.

Admission

Firstly I opted to get admission in state college in my state jharkhand, but lack of infrastructure and facilities i decided to move out of the state and take admission. One of the friend suggested me to take view of LPU, and more college like Thapar, Chandigarh University. But I choose LPU, because of their placement records.

Faculty

5

Ratio of students and faculty is 70 : 1, and all facilities are good in nature they help in academics. I want to mention one of the faculty Dr. Amritpal Singh, he is one of the best teacher i have meet and he is so cool and calm teacher. Examination patterns are . In semester there are 3 class assessment, 1 Mid - term exam 1 End - term exam. Class assessment or CA: 1 Ca is conducted before mid term, 2 after mid terms. In CA, 2 out 3 which is best they are considered. And pattern of paper is changed yearly. Like Objective or Subjective.

Interview Experience

4

I interviewed during admission, and it was normal conversation they asked about my past qualification and some reasoning questions. After that they give me one topic and they give 2 mins to think and make a random story on that.

Night Life

4

Nightlife is good having dedicated, cafes which are always open 24 * 7, and having gym swimming pool facilities inside the campus. Having huge park area, for sitting and chilling with friends, we called it Robo Park. And outside the campus their is place called EastWood, so cool and very popular for nightlife, having malls parks and so much things.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
