Likes

The college is value for money and more than worth it for 132k fees
Also the faculty and staffs are supportive...they support students by providing resources and guidence
Hostels are also really affordable if you get it .

Dislikes

Curriculum is still old where subjects like mech civil are teached to cse students
Coding culture is improving now but it's still low
As it is a engineering college girl to boys ratio in my branch is around 1/4

Course Curriculum Overview

Well honestly In first year you will be teached subject's like mechanical civil which are not relevant for computer science guy .but apart from this i choosed this becoz of my interest in tech and I'll learn about tech from 2nd year onwards ..but curriculum can be improved by adding subjects like c++ instead of c

Placement Experience

From 6th semester onwards students starts getting industry exposure and internship opportunities on campus .. companies like TCS IBM visited campus in 2024..and the highest package was approx 11Lpa and lowest was 3-4Lpa. With more than 50% of students getting placed ...ill probably persue masters after bechlor .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I will be paying every year will be 33000 per year means 132000 for full course of 4 years ... scholarships are available like medhavi and Catagory scholarships are available ....also scholarship clubs are also formed to help students financially.

Campus Life

Just recently we got the event named INERTIA it included activities like 24 hr hackathon and some fun games ..and more events heppen but less frequently... libraries are well equipped with books and in terms of sports it's good ..teams from our college are winning inter college tournaments . Clubs are available for dancing singing,coding , literature..

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are equipped with basic necessities like water cooler ,fans ,table , covered, and 2 beds per room ..meal quality is more than average and u need to fill the form for hostels and only top candidates are selected for hostels ..and hostels fees is just 3k per year and mess fees of 2.5k per month

Admission

I applied for DAVV indore but unfortunately I was not able to clear the cutoff then i opted this college for my btech as it's a gov college with string alumini network and less fees ..I was getting addmission in some private tier 2 colleges at 94.3 percentile but the fees were high ..only jee mains is accepted here and you should have minimum of 45% in boards

Faculty

Faculty teaches atmost 120 students in class..as I mentioned earlier faculty is supportive and encouraging..and we can ask doubts anytime .. I liked our eng faculty Mis.Ashima panday mam as she is really encouraging and supportive I don't have some exact names which i don't like. .the exams are easy and mostly all students clear the exam ...there are 2 midsem and 1 endsem

Night Life

My favourite hanging spot is canteen and we usually spent night having fun in our hostels .. jabalpur is a beautiful place with many places to visit like bedhaghat ..and boys and girls hostels have a restricted time limits ...for girls it's 6pm and for boys its more than 9pm

Sunstone is planning placement for us as they promised a lest placement of 4lpa or more from the extra courses they are running and training is and also provides chances to sit in multiple interviews of companies. Companies like appzeto , even digit, Lancesoft many students git placement of 7lpa. After degree if I can get placement from sunstone sage I will get it or try to crack off campus placement.

Affordable College with Decent Opportunities and Scope for Self- Growth.

Placement Experience:

Placement at SKITM are decent and improving year by year . Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Reputed companies like TCS,wipro , Infosys and some emerging firms visit the campus. The averages package is around 3-4 LPA ,while the higher goes upto 6-7 LPA in some cases . Around 60% students get placed , especially those who have good technical skills and communication skills. The college also provide basic training and guidance for placements, which helps students prepare for interview The college provide some support, but it is not enough for high - paying jobs, so students need to prepare on their own.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are very good in one sense but okayish in some other. Many companies visit the college but only some of them are good and if one loses opportunity in some top companies, then only low paying companies remain. Students become eligible for college placements after 6 semester. Some top companies visiting for placements include, Goldman Sachs, Databricks, Google, Zomato, Amazon, etc. All of the students in my branch have received their offers except one or two, who will receive it eventually. Highest package this year is 1.04Cr INR and average would fall around 30L INR. Percentage of students getting placed in my branch is around always 100%. My plans after a degree is to work in industry offered to me by my placements, but even if I don't get on campus placement, I would be seeking out off campus placements and I am positive, I'll be in good place.

Good but not Bad

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester student can apply for internships and for placement student should be in 5th semester of his or her college life. There's very difficulties in getting placed by the company because few of the company comes to college and very fewer gets placed. So student must develop the skills on their own and apply for off campus selection. More than 8.5 cgpa for average package and more than 9 cgpa is required for a good company... I'm planning to give upsc exams after graduation

Placement Experience:

Not much helpful in terms of placements.not very big MNC companies visit there and average packages are not much high the faculty will not guide you about placements you have to prepare on your own and apply for offline placements.

In the last year or 7th semester you will be able to attend campus recruitment and get placed in a reputed company. Last year there was approx 100+ company comes to the college for recruiting students. Last year their highest package is approx 10LPA and a minimum of 4LPA. Approx 80% of students are getting placed till last year and some of them are working in MNCs right now and some of them are opening their startups. After graduation, I decided to pursue higher studies abroad.

From the 7th or 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. there are too many it companies visited here like TCS Infosys etc. The highest package in this college is 8lpa. From my point of view, this college is not suitable for good campus placement.

Jabalpur Engineering College enough review

Yes , i can apply for this college for reason is it was a good college in your lower rank in jee mains exam you can also admit 12 th result and lateral entry for diploma students. Everything about JEC Jabalpur

So admission process is via MPDTE councelling which is the state level councelling process. Student get admission through the jee mains percentage. Accordingly they got the branch . Mostly students preferred CSE , IT and AI branch . I also applied in SGSITS indore but because of my low score I didn't make it to go there...Read More
