Course Curriculum Overview

5

I was really amazed by the various numbers of facilities provided. The worshops, internships, clubs and communities. There are personality development courses too which really help us prepare for job interviews and higher studies which was a new to me. The exams and assessments taken help too, which are good for practicing and stuffs. The Technical subjects are harder compared to others so they require more timing on them but rest it is all good.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies such as Accenture, TCS and others offer internship here. The roles usually are for Software developer, Data Ananlyst, Cybersecurity intern and others for B.Tech CSE. There are others for Business and Management etc.

Placement Experience

5

I've heard that placements in Amity are good and average is 4 to 6 Lakhs. A student gets eligible for placement in their last year, like for B.Tech it is 7th semester. The companies visited are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Accenture, Flipkart and American Express. The highest package offered was 61 Lakhs and before that it was 58 Lakhs which is a lot. Almost 12,000 offers were made in previous years with an almost 100% placement rate. I too plan to sit for placements in my 7th and 8th semester and hopefully land a job I want.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is taken semester wise and as for application it was 1500 Rupees. I paid 226500 Rupees for my first sem and 206500 for my second one, overall it will go upto 16 Lakhs for the complete course. Every semester, the academic fees increases a little. For our first semester the fees was higher as it included computer which was 3000 Rupees and library fees which was 2000 Rupees as well, caution fees was 2000 Rupees. This was all for B.tech in CSE. I have a friend in BCA and I recently asked her about her fee structure and got to know that their's is less than ours. Her fees for two semesters is around 6 Lakhs while our goes around 8 Lakhs so there's that. Amity provides various scholarships as well! I know the ones for my course which is B.Tech which was based on JEE Main Percentile: 97-100 percentile will get you 100% scholarship, 94-96 for 75% and 90-93 for 50%. There was for boards as well such as for those who scored above 95% in CBSE/ISC get 100% scholarship and for 90-95, 50% scholarship which too in CBSE/ICSE only. Well, outside of my course, other scholarships are also provided based on your CLAT and CUET scores for under-graduates. I believe there are such provided for Post-Graduates as well in Amity. But the seats are limited so they are provided based on first come-first served service. So I agree that overall the fees is a bit higher than what I considered but then again there are much facilities provided too so it's worth it.

Campus Life

5

Many events are held such as for freshers, there are College and University Freshers held. Then Sangathan happens every year in which students from every branch of Amity come and compete in sports and stuffs. One important one is the Amity Youth Fest which happens every year around March I think, in this people come up and promote their businesses through stalls. Good thing is that people outside of Amity can come too. Thus it's very active.

Hostel Facilities

3

For AC, you get a washroom for four people, sink, a refrigerator and sofas in the common room. In your single room you'll get a bed, table, chair, the AC, an Almirah and of course wifi. Sometimes problems do occur but they're sorted out mostly. Maid aunty comes every morning to take out the trash and will clean your room anytime you call her. The affordablitiy is okay, almost 2 something Lakhs for an year. You can register for a hostel on their website.

Admission

I remember last year I applied in Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering college as was sad that they did not accept me. Now I'm at Amity and am much happier honestly as one of my friends went in that one and turns out there are many things there which were not suitable for me. Not many facilties were provided there neither the classes. Amity turns out to have many more subjects for me related to my field and the ones which would help me in future too. While it's also true that I applied to other colleges but I wasn't accepted because of my Boards marks. For admission in Amity, it's a simple procedure. You need to go to their website and give details. Soon you'll be called and you can enquire about everything you want to know. Then again go to their wesbsite, fill the regestration form, submit regestration fees and wait till they give you details for your interview. By the way, interview is taken only if you got below 80% in your boards in PMC otherwise it's direct admission for you. They consider Boards (CBSE/ICSE), CUET and CLAT exams for B.Tech and so provide scholarships and stuffs based on that only.

Faculty

3

In my opinion, it depends on the faculty. Almost all of the ones I got for my previous and this semester were very approachable and interactive with us. They were also avaiable for any help or auggestion needed. This could also depend on the various schools. I'm talking about the faculties of Amity School of Engineering and Technology only. Like the one I got for my Basic Electrical Engineering this semester not only teaches us nicely, he even gives us advices for placements, coding skills and actually helped me and my classmates get a practical view on them. Basically they are good at teaching and all. The only ones I did not look much upto were the ones who taught me Applied Maths and Engineering Physics, one of them only read up from the powerpoint presentation while the other wasn't good at explaining. There is only a mid-term test (internals) which is taken per semester and the end-term(externals) at the end, in which pracicals are taken too. My FBL and TC was taken online on a portal proivded while the rest were in written mode. I would say they were pretty much okay as long as we studied through refrence books and assigments given.

Interview Experience

5

I gave an interview before coming here and they asked me simple questions such as what are my hobbies, my interests and my strengths, some general knowlede stuffs and three questions based on my course. It was easy to crack in as they were simple and were based on what i recently studied because of my boards.

Night Life

4

Everywhere is safe inside of the Amity campus, with the hostel timings for under graduates being 9 PM and for post graduates being 9:30 PM which is good enough compared to other colleges and universities. My personal favourites are the cafeterias especially H Block as it has so many outlets and is so big to go and sit anywhere. The library is just too good, with wifi and computers too, there are two floors for all the books and you can go sit anywhere to study and stuffs.

Other Applied Colleges

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College - [AKGEC] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I couldn't get in as the seats were full.

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Placement Experience:

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
