• A+ grade companies: Amazon, Dell, Microsoft, Samsung.
• A grade companies such as Intel, Wipro, Tata, Sony, IBM, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra.
• Other major companies: Indus valley, PayU, NIIT, Aricent, CISCO, Ford, Accenture.

Students placed in these companies bag an average package of 3 lakh per annum. Also, the highest domestic package offered is 18 LPA in the computer science department. In case of mass recruitment, one can easily get 3 to 4.5 LPA from these companies. These figures can be also changed from one’s special skills and knowledge. The placement department is focused to get every student placed in the company. Every company allows students of 7 CGPA or above to sit in placement. So Amity University has nearly 100% placement in the Computer Science department. An average student can get a package of 3.5 to 5 Lakhs per annum. All the Engineering branches at Amity University will be having the same subjects in their first year at Amity University. There will be 11 subjects in both the first and second semesters.

There are few subjects common for all in four years of their engineering which are - English; Foreign business Language (French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, etc); and Behavioral science

Cons-

• The average package lies around 3.5–4.5 LPA. Though plenty of people are offered 6 LPA+, there are still many, who get placed with just 1.8-2.5 LPA.
• Amity University has two departments for placements- ATPC and CRC. Both the departments try to outshine each other by bringing in more and more recruiters. There are often such instances when two companies visit the campus on the same day. This ultimately limits the number of opportunities for students.
• You won’t be informed about the visit of big companies offering cushy packages if you don’t have a good CGPA(8+).
• If you are already placed, you can’t sit in placements for further visiting companies. The only exception to this is the 2n-1 rule. It enables you to appear for the company offering 7+ LPA if you are already placed with a package of 4 LPA.
• Amity’s reputation has degraded over years and this point will work against you if you try off-campus placements.
• Amity students are rumored to be not serious about their studies. You can gradually become part of the herd under the influence of the environment all around you.

You should be careful about the last point of the cons, which is the most important factor influencing your professional competence.

Galgotias University is definitely a better choice for a BTech degree in CSE. I have friends at both Galgotias and Amity. Based on what I heard about the CSE department at these campuses, it is suggested to choose Galgotias. 

• Amity is quite costly and the quality of education is not on the same level as Galgotias. If you want a good college life and you can afford the hefty fee, go for Amity. 
• Galgotias on the other hand stresses a lot on academics. There are many extra-curricular activities on campus that will help you in improving your overall personality. It also offers an exciting campus life. 
• For CSE, Galgotias has maintained a good placement record over the years. It has tie-ups with many reputed IT companies that work in favor at the time of placements.
