Course Curriculum Overview

1

As per academic plan, for every 2 years academic curriculum changes by which academic plan gets advanced but the problem is faculty does not get updated with curriculum advancement. I am in 2018 regulation as academic schedule, which is enough updated and i feel junoiors have more advanced curriculum which they are reading with very basic aeronautical knowledge, by which they told it is becoming difficult for them to cope up.

Fees and Financial Aid

this college always have a little discrimination with malayalam, tamil and telugu students. Telugu students & their festivals are always neglected, while malayalam students have high priorities as malayalam authorities are more & tamil students have good cooridnation with faculty due as their mother tongue is tamil. Hostels have high security, with low tasted and less hygiene food, many timers we found insects in food, milk has more water, sometimes expired medicienes were given in case of illness. there are wide range of clubs yet only few clubs will run successfully rest clubs are waste of money. while department clubs are more active compared to common clubs. very low emergency facilities. recently a law faculty due to no oxygen supply in ambulance & ambulane is so small such that he could only sit and not rest his body even though he had heart attack. Driver was late as he was in lunch break. student affairs are never supportive to students, there always support college staff and admin staff, student affairs team never fought for students. only A section classes have good faculty in any department while other sections have corona PhD facultywhich leads to lack of knowledge to students. For instance, CSE dept: cancelled many classes anf few subjects are not even explained until exams due to lack of faculty. Timings are just like school, no free periods. yet there ais 1 break and 1 lunch break. college starts at 8.30 am break starts at 10.10 am to 10.30 am ( 20 minutes only) lunch break starts at 12.10 pm to 1.00pm (50 minutes only) college ends at 3.30 pm few students have issue with their results due to COE office(HITS admin office) technical issues, few studnets got failed in few subjects(unknowingly) even though they had good internal marks and no backlogs, but due to these technical issues those students got arrears, without their mistake.

Campus Life

1

campus have lot of trees with breezy air, which give me that first impression in college. college arranges a only fest in whole year. The "YARONA Fest", which is only held on march that too only on saturdaysssss. few departments celebrate department fest for 2 days in any day of week, in the whole year only one department celebrates this fest occasionally for 1-3 years i donot know why? but college is strict in giving holidays. For UGADI(Telugu festival): holiday is given celebrated and arranged only by telugu students and college does not provide any support and amount For ONAM(Malayalam Festival): Preparations start from 2 months before itself and held in very grand way For PUTHANDU(Tamil Festival): Holiday is given but not celebrated

Hostel Facilities

3

I lived in costliest girls' hostel in Hindustan, it is fees around 2,20,000/- in kasthurba block, 2 sharing room witha ttached bedroom. there are total of 4 blocks in the girls hostel: Kasturbha, Susan, Bethany (stay in one place); & pluto hostel is far away (near boys hostel). Kasturbha is a premium one in girls' hostel, which have all common facilities like mess, regular cleaning and common hot water supply in the corridor. mess block is attached to this block which helps during rains and cyclones. actually this hostel always arranges food in cyclones also, that is only part i like. now i live in apartment outside the college it is exactly 1 km from college, i can daily go by share auto(10/-) and come by walk. i live in apartment called Akshaya Adora, 3 bedroom flat, fully furnished, with 36,000/- rent and kitchen bill, gas bill, and food bill is upon me. As per my calculation i will spend around 10,000/- + 5500/- (rent) in total which is less compared to hostel.

Admission

first is the distance factor, i will have direct train or bus to my hometown second is the lab facilities, in south India this is top college with facilities this is what i heard but frankly i do not feel anything here. i got selected in mahendrra university hyderabad with 50% scholarship with entrance exam but i did not choose it as it deos not have aeronautical engineering this college offers mechanical engineering, cse, automobile & robotics and also many others . Admission process involves a lot of hectic process which takes lot of time in students who came for admission. scholarships are given on basis of IPE/ state board marks, Entrance exam, IIT, sports quota, reccomendation & full fee

Faculty

2

faculties are not fully available for all departments. Me studying Aeronautical engineering have enough faculty with zero knowledge as many of them corona PhD batch. I heard CSE and automobile have very low faculty but CSE is around 50 sections including all sub branches yet there is no balance or coordination. I frankly feel Dr.Dinesh Kumar in field of propulsion is good faculty among everyone. while dean and hod are also alloted with classes, but they do not come classes on time but leave classes lately which disturbs after classes or lunch break or break time. I feel Dr.Sarweswaran in field of electronics is not at all suitable in field of aeronautical, he teaches nothing to students just reads out from slides

Night Life

2

no there is much night life in Hindustan, girls hostel closes at 6.30 pm while boys hostel closes at 8.00 pm. but there is a canteen that serves food with different kinds of varieties of friedrice, juices, mojitos and starters (veg & non veg), delivers to hostel.
