Course Curriculum Overview

4

My coirse is political science hons. It imparts you a neitral angle to all aspects of your life. I chose the course because of its future prospects. The questions in the exam can surely be more distant from the traditional rote learning and provide for analytical understanding and learning

Fees and Financial Aid

The vibe of college is little distant from the cluttered but classic essence of north campus, however the college is very peaceful and serene. Some faculties are nicer than the others. The infrastructure needs improvement. Adminstration needs to pull up their socks and lessen the unwanted delays in paperwork. The fees is a bit high than other colleges, yet it is very affordable. The college is very strict regarding the academics and attendance which is a good thing and a bad one simultaneously. The societies arent very much active. Neither the student union of DU is active here and thus no electoral drama. Im in Indtaprastha college for women. The annual fee for my course is 30k and hostel fee is 1,76,000.

Campus Life

3

Being a girls college, the vibe is toxic but people here are supportive and not of crab mentality, it is just that girls get annoyed easily and can be ignorant and arrogant and u need to become a people pleaser. The campus is serene and calm.

Admission

I qpplied to Hindu, Kirori mal college, Miranda house, Ramjas, Lady shri ram etc. I got admission to Indraprastha college for women, this was my 6th preference. I emphasised on being in north campus. Students get admission to my college through cuet

Faculty

3

Teachers are 1:90 in lectures for my course, and 1:15 in tutorials, the ratio is better in other courses. The teachers are approachable. Swati ma'am, lasya ma'am, praveen sir are very supporting. Exams are easy if studied properly. The curriculum is very relevant but vast to cover.

Night Life

4

Civil lines social is the most common den for gen z. Other than that street food is also treat worthy. The area is not too far from hudson lane and kamla nagar which are full of cafes. The locality is posh and safe, metro station is at a walking distance with proper lighting.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum that influences my decision to choose. This course was for the upcoming government exams as it provide a fundamental knowledge for them and the curriculum prepares it for real World applications do not have any practical knowledge, but it was more focus on academic more theoretical and areas of improvement. In the course curriculum is that I would suggest that it should be more ongoing perspective more realism rather than focusing on the past theory that we have, it should be relevant in contemporary times and the frequency and timing of exam along with my proper difficulty level is high.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of KMC works really well. Many top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and Wipro visit the campus. It also arranges internships and placement drives, making sure students are ready for jobs. Overall, KMC provides a lively atmosphere and strong career support. From 6th Semester onwards, students can sit for campus placements. The highest package was upwards of ?30 LPA and the average package is around ?6-8 LPA. Our course saw a similar average package and the highest package was ?23 LPA. Around 30% of the previous batch was placed with the rest going for higher education and other job or entrance examinations. After getting my degree, I plan to go for higher education in statistics or economics. And beyond that I have made up my mind that I want to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and RBI Grade B Officer examination.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BBA course curriculum at Maharaja Surajmal College is quite well structured and covers a good balance of theoretical and practical aspects of business studies. The subjects are relevant to the current industry standards and help in building a strong foundation for management and corporate roles. The curriculum also gives exposure to areas like marketing, finance, and human resource management which prepares students for real-world applications as well as for higher studies like MBA. However, it could include more practical training, internships, and industry interactions to make learning more experiential. The exams are conducted on time and are of moderate difficulty, focusing more on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. Overall, the curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, though slight improvements in practical exposure would make it even better.
