Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wasn't sure for this colleges at the time of admission or freezing it in the counselling. Because neither I knew about this before nor ever herd about it. But I got fw seat which is the tution fee waiver seat in which the acadmic fee of the students get reduced to 35000 from 133000. And also was getting Computer science data science branch which was preety fascinating and similar to what I aimed for. There are many positive negative perks of this colleges. The most positive one is they provide multiple coding opportunities like Conducting Hackthons, several coding competitions. Overall we can say Preety decent coding culture. The most negative one is firstly very few of the companies visit here for placements and that the mass restituting one like accentuate, hcl mostly. They're don't provide better placement opportunity. You've to do most of the things on your own. Secondly not much internship opportunities. I've seen very few seniors who are actually actively involved in internships and that they've got that by their own no college involvement. I think they should atleast provide internships opportunities so that that could help students uin further placement grabbing specially for off campus one.

Internships Opportunities

3

There's no proper way of providing internship specially paid in this college. They'll provide you opportunity from companies like Acenture but not worth the hype of internship. But yes students do crack G socs getting a good stipend like they've even got more than 300000 rupee from google summercamp internship and from different companies. Winning hackthons also helps students to grow.

Placement Experience

3

Placement of this college is not upto the expectations, mostly mass recruiting companies visit here for example Accenture, cisco, Hcl, tech mahindra, cognizant. Right After when students are done with their 5th sem there're eligibile for sitting into placements but very few of thrm grab it mostly 4th year students get placed. Last year 1604 were total placement offers by different companies but this is the official data so it includes both off campus and incampus. Total placements were 906 and total companies which recruited were 252 and this is almost avg meaning almost similar placement offers are offered every year. 6.2 was the avg salary offered last year. 94 companies offered CTC greater than 10 lakh which is preety remarkable and 203 companies offered ctc in between 700000 to 900000 which is also good to be noted. Still most of the placement are done off campus

Fees and Financial Aid

I payed 35000 rupee to the college since I got fee wavier seat through Uptac Counselling. For student who got casual seat through counselling along with direct admitted students had to Pay 133000, which is the course fee of all the B-tech branches. There's no extra charges for direct admission. Students get scholarships through government like pragati for girls which provides scholarship of upto 50000 rupee.

Campus Life

4

One of the most positive point to be noted about this college is you get a variety of activities to get involved in, clubs basically you will get clubs of almost every activity you injoy either its some sport like cricket, volley ball, Badminton, football, kho - kho etc or its some cultural activity like dance, drama, singing etc The so called club is Kalakrit one of my favorite and includes a lot more. The cultural fest of the college is Jenro which last for 3 respective days includes Dj night and everything to make students enjoy. That's also important part which they take care of. They also have literature club where you'll meet poets who are actually too good to be honest. Different Coding clubs are also there. Me being a hostler have a plus point on this topic that hostel conduct a lot of fest depending on the upcoming festival likewise we had fest for Diwali, Holi, in Navratra we had Garba the whole hostel get decorated and sometimes when the hype is too much they organise it in the college's ground that's more interesting. College also owns a beautiful temple for offering prayers. The also maintain everything even the greenery beautifully. The aesthetic of the college is also appreciating. Overall a good experience.

Hostel Facilities

4

Facilities provided by the hostel are upto the expectations. Yes it is genuinely expensive than the normal fee structure but they stand on it. Maintains proper hygiene. Good food ( providing 4 time meal and the menu are made by students themselves and changes on an intervals of 3 months). Air conditioning in every room is available. Gym and library open for 24 × 7 is also there. The rented rooms and PGs outside would range in around 85-95 thousands which is good but you'll have to sacrifice a lot in comparison.

Admission

I had never thought about this college. I just gave my jee mains and applied for Uptac counselling and in the second round I got this college ( Abes College of engineering Ghaziabad) Computer science data science branch. I had thought I should get Kiet or GL bajaj considering my rank but since I got the fee wavier seat I locked it since my fee got considerably affordable which was 35000 than 133000. I had also applied for a college in Jaipur and got admitted in it but the fee was comparatively high that's why preferred this college.

Faculty

3

I'm in first year and as far as I've came across I've realised that teachers teaching 1st year students are actually concern to studies their marks and also teaches well but my seniors told me that faculty are less concern as you get in higher semester. Faculty still are very soft toward students, behavior is preety good. The college conduct 3 sessional ests in the whole semester for international marks which of 30 marks. Subject wise Attendance, Assignments, Quiz are of 5 marks each making 15 marks and 15 from the sessional tests they take. Students are required to give all the 3 sessions and the top 2 test in which they've scored good will be considered. First two sessionals include 1.5 units of the syllabus of 30 marks each and the 3rd involving 2 units of 40 marks. Then Practicals on otherside are taken. Then there comes the external examination of 70 marks. That's how marking system goes in this college.

Night Life

4

College doesn't provide a gym for non hostelers but yes they've a lot more two cafeteria, 2 library for their self study, Stages for performance, beautiful and well maintained temple, gardens, parking area, public area and also a preety big playground to have respective sports. The hostel in other hands have a more facilities for the Hostllers like Gym, Seperate Library open 24 × 7, different cultural fest in account of the festivals. The main gate to get outside the campus of the hostel opens at 7 in the morning and closes at 6 in the evening for girls and 9 for boys. The most favourite of mine yet happened is the diwali and new year fest conducted by the hostel. We enjoyed a lot.

Since curriculum was given by AKTU itself, colleges only has the power to choose elective subjects- Few subjects were my fav and helped me alot in lot's of different scenerios - like EDC,Network Theory and ofc VLSI Design was my fav. For ECE students - university shd mandate Satellite communication and VLSI Technology a compulsory as it's a kind of core subjects and in every PSU as well as govt exams , questions from this subject always been asked by authorities. More faculties staff's are required.

Taking about campous placement of my college so this is not so good like it is almost negligibe . If you want job then you have to fimd it by yourself and you have to apply by yourself to company. sometimes few prof. will help you to apply for some companies but most of the times you have to do it by yourself only. As in other colleges you will be elegible for internships from 2nd year is also the same thing you can start your internship when ever you get it. Almost no company visit here for placement but some time few companies come here for ME and Civil deparment students .the placement percentage is approx 35 to 40 percent. My plans after getting degre is to go for higher studies.
