Course Curriculum Overview

•As my course is Mechanical Engineering. •It includes 5 subjects in each semester and the whole course is of 40 subjects. • The relevance of each subject is of practical based application and this approaches the real life implementation. •There are many subjects of course which are of designing and building of parts and mechanisms. •College arrange an industrial visit for the each subjects. Which gives students real life implementation knowledge. • There are not as such requirement for the improvement in the curriculum. •The exams are carried out in each month. But as semester is of 5 months the Insem is carried out after one month from start of semester and there is gap of 3 month from Insem for the Endsem examination. There is also an preparation leave of one month for students to prepare for the exam.

Admission

•I have applied for vishwakarma institute of technology (VIT pune) for Btech mechanical and Amrutvahini college of Engineering (AVCOE) for BE mechanical from these I got confirmed at AVCOE but there are limited placements records and the faculties available are not as good as faculties at my college. So that's why I choose MMCOE college. •Yes, I got rejected from VIT Pune and MIT pune because I cannot clear their cutoff marks criteria so I can't get in these colleges •The admission process is not so complicated you can get admission from 3 ways which includes Management quota, CAP rounds and Spot round. As I got admission through CAP there is an exam named as CET (Common entrance test) after the exam there is 3 rounds of CAP are carried out. In these rounds students has to fill the option form in this form students can fill their dream colleges with the branch they want in an descending order. Also there is an criteria of cutoff for each branch of every college. As a student clear the cutoff he/she is able to take admission in the college. There are 3 rounds of CAP process. As students is selected at an college he has to approach the college within fixed timings and secure their seats in their dream college

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are decent, especially for computer related branches. Students usually become eliggible for campus placement from the 7th semester. The placement cell conducts taining programs from earlier semesters, including aptitude tests, technical sessions and mock interviews to prepare students. Many companies visit the campus every year, mainly from the IT and software sector. Some ofthe common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant and mid level companies. A few products based or higher paying companies also visit for specific branches. The average package is usually around 4-6 LPA while the highest package can go above 10-12 LPA in some years, especially for computer science and IT students. The placement percentage varies by branch, but overall, around 70-80 % of eligible students get placed with higher percentages in computer related branches. As for my personal plan, after completeing my degree, I aim to get a good campus placement in a reputed company and start my career in the engineering field. I also plan to keep improving my technical and communication skills during the course to increase my chances of getting a better package.
