Course Curriculum Overview

Well my branch is a mix of both a core branch as Well as an IT branch. So i really love being in this branch. However this really makes you industry ready. Areas of improvement can be classroom infrastructure or Laboratories . Classes are like corporate hours 9 to 5 with remedials on Saturdays . Usually Saturdays are off.

Placement Experience

4

Third year itself is the Placement year as more start ups and internships happen and also companies love to recruit freshers. Companies like L&T ACCENTURE SCALE EDGE AMAZON GOOGLE MICROSOFT have made numerous offers for example last time L&T made about 61.7 % Placement. Overall each student gets placed here. My plans after the degree is to pursue a side course along with my job as Journalism was a dream to me

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i paid was ?45400. Out of this the admission registration fees was ?40400 whereas the OJEE councelling for admit process was ?5000 which i paid in the seat councelling. Now some of my batch mates have paid only ?40400 . This is so because their councelling fees was ?10000 i.e. for General Category. Coming to scholarships there are N number of scholarships for students . Like post matric scholarships of ?20000 per year then e-medhabruti of ?10000 per year and Krishi Vikas Yojna Or Nirman vikas yojna or shramik yojna or NSP scholarships like Yashasvi scheme etc.

Campus Life

5

Xtasy . Zairza . Perception. And a lot more fest happen every year. In the library there a bit shortage of effective and Efficient books while e library has been a more effective part. Facilities still have a scope of improvement. Sports are quite active. Students have not only groups but socities and clubs . It's amzing out here

Admission

I did apply for Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla and Indira Gandhi Technology, Sarang but i preferred this college just because of its location in town Bhubaneswar. I didn't get rejected basically it was a councelling process in which i got alloted a seat in this college. Admission process is simple Attempt JEE Or OJEE then as soon as you clear the Cut Off you get selected for Councelling process of Ojee through NTA then you have arrange the courses and college according to your priorities that's it. Just wait for your allotment.

Ratio could be approx 1:16 . Well the new recruited facilities enjoy their teaching a lot . They love interact. I really Liked Mr. G Nayak Sir , Miss Sudha Sahoo , Mr. A Panda and many more. They teach Maths , Civil and Computer respectively. Also We have Biswajit Sir who's the real picture of the university. He's involved everywhere. Per year there are 5 exams for an academic calendar. 2 mid- semester exams 2 End semester exams 1 special exam.

Night Life

4

No gyms though but Canteen area has a variety of stalls stores and hotels and food is really good out here. Hostels are really nice and accommodating. Famous hangout places can be Ghatikia Food Court or Khaogali Food court. Or Khandagiri Forest reserve or Jaydev Vatika. It's safe out here

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
