Likes

Teachers are never late for the class like schools they some of them are excellent and teaches very well and boy can enter even after 9 pm to collage .
Guards are friendly and good understands the problem of students like late wake up
Our college is clean and greenary is great like morning is great and benches make us set and relax there in morning and evening

Dislikes

Bad teachers some are good but rest of them are very bad hated then like seperate students and treats unequaly like odia and bihari and Jharkhandi .
Student are ridiculous most of them hate bihari and says like ki tum log ko mar ke bhagange wapis jao apne sehaer and all which I hate
Management is bad one day we had math paper and the answer sheet of physics waster our 30 mins and didn't gave us extra time .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is similar to other colleges and updated as per the latest trends. The course is not good for real-life problems, and they just work on concepts only. 3 exams, two internal of 50 marks in 1hr and 30 min, and 1 semester of 100 marks in 3 hrs.

Placement Experience

Placements are 100% to say, but only 60% are placed here with around 3lpa The rest of them are placed by some mass recruiter of 2-2.5 LPA, and not any good company comes here the Infosys office is very close, but it still does not come for placement.

Campus Life

Bad clubs experience as it has only one club i.e. strays class which only supports music and nothing else not codding clubs at all students are boring and arrogant and does not try to coupon up with others

Hostel Facilities

Worst hostel facility this session, as the number of students increased, they are providing three students a room of 2 occupancies with only two beds. Worst college and taking a sane fee for it doesn't ever try to understand someone's problem

Admission

I chose this college because I was not getting into any other colleges and thought that it would be a good college, but I didn't find it good in any terms. I hated this college. the admission process is simple: just pass in 12 and appear in JEE mains.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is very low: For every 800 students, there is just one mentor, which is very low, and the teachers do not support students in anything new and innovative. I like Sunil Sir because he is very professional and always makes everything problem simple and clear We get a question bank from where we get passing marks question but still difficult for us to pass .

Night Life

Just a DJ night is good, which only happens 1 day in a sem just before an exam were every student dances on the floor with their friends There are no hangout places, only a mall DN Regalia, nothing else, a silent area, and a bar in k9 for birthday celebrations

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

Value For money college

My decision really came down to ROI and getting the CSE branch specifically. I tried for top government colleges like OUTR and VSSUT, but my JEE rank wasn't high enough for Computer Science there. I actually got Electrical at C.V. Raman, but I was determined to study CS, and private universities like KIIT were way out of my budget. It eventually came down to GEC vs. GITA. I picked GEC because the fees were slightly lower and the hostels are much better since we get attached washrooms. The admission process was super smooth; I applied through OJEE counseling based on my JEE Main rank, and once the seat was allotted, I just went to campus for document verification. They also have management seats if your rank is lower, so getting in isn't too stressful....Read More

GEC- The Mnemosynes Way

Well to start I gave my JEEMAINS 2021 exam but unfortunately at the same time on MAy 4th MY died and I got off track for about 5 months and when I again got myself back anyhoe then I got the opportunity to go for GEC and as far I have gathered info and seen through my eyes the fees with the reutn of knowledge we got its far more better than many colleges. My main reason to choose this college is a bit un-traditional as I wanted to go somewhere far, cause I knew I can do what I want as I was stusying about coding from class 11.
