Good or not so good

The college is good and have some of the very good and capable teachers but some of them do use the regional language as their medium of teaching which makes it hard for us to understand and they are not willing to change it. It makes learning difficult for non-odia residents.

The course curriculum is upto the mark. Our college teaches us according to the Syllabus set by Delhi University. Everything is covered accordingly and also the practicals are taken according to the way the Delhi University has set.

No. Our college don't provide any kind of internship to their students. Sometimes there are workshops conducted for students but no internship is provided. Hence we have to look for internships alll for ourselves.

As student of third year , we have seen that there is no facility of placements of job opportunities or any kind of campus selection is provided by the college itself. All we have to go for walk in interviews conducted independently by different companies. But the companies do recognize our college.

Our college celebrates various cultural and extra curricular events like sports day , graduation day , Saraswati puja , Ganesh puja , debates , speech , workshops and awareness events for the students as well as the teachers.

The fees structure is extremely feasible. Even girls have lower fees as compared to the boys. Except some of the self financing , all the courses have very very less fees per year. Even the self financing courses are very very less as compared to other reputed colleges and universities out there.

Our college do provide scholarship to various socially backward groups. Upto 10k per year they provide. And as the fees structure is very affordable , the scholarships are only provided to those who are unable to pay.

The extracurricular activities are good. Annual sports day is celebrated religiously. The labs are good with enough with proper facilities and lab assistant. Labs have enough equipments for each and every student.

The hostel infrastructure is of average quality. The security is not good enough and also the food is of below average quality. But the hostel fees per year are very affordable. The hostel warden is quite strict and all the students have to report back to the hostel within 6 PM.

The seniors are very very helpful when it comes to get access to various books , notes, etc. They are more than helpful. Always willing to help whenever we are in any problem. Even they helped us to overcome several situations with our teachers when we were unable to do so.

Exam structure has recently changed after the enrollment of our batch. We give exam according to the old exam structure having 5 questions holding 12 marks each. But the new structure has included multiple choice questions and short answer type questions pattern.

First when our 12th results were declared , we applied for this college through the online application form fill up method. Then after couple of days later , they published their selection lists and the day for admission of the selected students. On the admission day , they gave us a declaration form of conduct and then after that they started calling us one by one in the office. After that they collected the printed form of our application form , our attested marksheets , Transfer certificate and code of conduct certificate. After that they registered our names and told us to wait for sometime before the fee collection process started. They collected the fees and gave us a slip and after that it finished.

Teachers are good especially those who are assigned for the core subjects. Although their teaching is up to the mark but as the university is in the state of Odisha , some of them do use the regional language to teach which sometimes stands as an obstacle for all the non-odia residents otherwise they are very helpful.
