Support to Sports here is very appreciative thing here
Food everyday here is excellent in my particular mess
Infrastructure and abundant resources to eat here

Dislikes

Outing permissions are way to strict like too much
Too many exams 😭 are there here like only one month gap
Campus placement is very far from city so hard to find a way to commute cheap

Course Curriculum Overview

Nothing much I was interested in data that's it I don't see any improvements yett but there may be int the coming future maybe making the syllabus renewed may help but that won't be done I think so teaching methods cary teacher to teacher that can't be changed

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be paying 300000 for tuition fee and approx 2.5 lakhs for hostel. I got here by writing viteee so i dont if it's considered as scholarship and my friends I have are from various categories like 1,3,2,4,5 their fees range from 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs for tuition and same hostel fees for r bed room that is.

Campus Life

Vibrance and techno vit are the major fests in the college techno vit is more of technical and vibrance is more of cultural and bigger also it almost student runanu free events happen almost everyday run by students

Hostel Facilities

I wouldn't say hostel is affordable but it provides amenities as per it the food is of high quality and the menu can be improved maybe but present one is also good locally many pg s are there which u can stay which is more recommended I would say

Admission

This college was good as it is renowned in south and north sides of India and student culture is good here and better than the government colleges back in my state and I think I made a great desicion taking this college

Faculty

All the faculties are good they are segregated well also by students and everyone's bio is also available in google.some exams are difficult some are not but the exam pressure is every time and hectic

Night Life

Gazebo dominoes and north square are popular places in vit chennai to hangout in the evening the night we are not actually aren't allowed to go out but thereis a night canteen wher u can eat till 1 and it is paid

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem onwards students are eligible to attend the placement drives. companies like Amazon , tcs , Accenture, cognizant, sonacomstar, nissiki, valeo, Cap Gemini visit the campus. The highest package offered was 41LPA by Amazon and average package was 4LPA.

Not a topper but a good learner

Placement Experience:

In my department, placement will provide in the final year. In pre final year they provide internship training to the students. Nearly 10 to 15 companies gives placement in the core sector. It's packages are 25k average. For non core like IT, minimum of 20 to 40 companies will visit to the campus for placement. It's average package will be 35 to 45k.

About the placement of colleges there are many compromise to visit to college respect of different departments and the placement start as well as internships when they student enter final year. Percentage of the student getting placement where is from department to department but maximum student gets placed at the end of the year.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
