Remarks

Positive remarks- Attendance is not compulsory and you can give time to your priorities. Examinations are conducted regularly. Negative remarks- Poor labs and old instruments. Teachers don't share most of their knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I think the curriculum is set according to the UGC rules but to be honest it's a bit outdated as compared to Delhi University. But in the long run it won't affect because what the college is offering is accepted everywhere in the country.

Internships Opportunities

No, my college does not provide internship in core courses but they provide internship and job training for vocational courses like B.SC IT and BCA. I never heard about anyone selected for any internship in my physics department.

Placement Experience

2.5

Well many companies arrive for placement and job opportunities. Anyone can apply for jobs and the average salary will be around fifteen thousands per month. There is a placement cell in our college which arranges all the companies who visit the campus.

College Events

4

Freshers day, Teachers day, cultural fest, Independence day, Republic day and Saraswati Puja in the college hostel. Some college events like science conference , national dramatics meet, awareness campaigns are held regularly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My total college fee for the entire course comprising all the admission fees and examination fees for three years was around eight thousand only. As compared to other colleges it was feasible. But it differs course to course. A vocational course in comparatively higher.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship of sum thirty thousand is provided to all the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students. There is no scholarship for meritorious students here and even for general category students. College for minority for sure.

Campus Life

3.5

Laboratories are there but the instruments and apparatus are very old. Nobody gives laboratory a priority in state government colleges. Library is okay but not good for an avid reader. For sports there is college ground and one table tennis court. Computer labs are nice.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

I never got the chance to reside in my college hostel because they were already occupied by seniors and you need good network to get a room in the hostel. Hostel is free and you cannot complain about the infrastructure.

Alumni/Alumna

To be honest you don't need any alumni network in this college. Seniors are a bit helpful when it comes to sharing notes and previous years question papers and thats it from their side. They will treat you good and there is no ragging in the campus.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is semester wise. There will be six semesters overall and one mid semester before every end semester. If anyone could not clear any paper in a particular semester then he/she will get another chance to clear backlog after one year and complete the course in stipulated time.

Admission

I filled the form offline back in 2015 but now it is online. Back then in 2015 we had to submit the form in the respective department and the department only made the merit lists and was responsible for the subsequent process. I waited for the merit list and when the first list was out I got selected in the general category. The list comprises of GEN, OBC, SC and ST. After the selection I submitted all the necessary documents in the department within a week. After that I submitted the admission fees in the college bank with challan which was given to us by the office(general section). All of this process was held in the month of july 2015.

Faculty

1.5

Back in 2015 our physics department had seven professors who were experienced and four had P.hd. Some of them were good at teaching while some of them were good only at giving notes. At the end of third year, we were taught by all the professors and honestly I am not fan of any of the professors because they focused only in covering the syllabus and not in imparting knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually biotechnology is an interdisciplinary program where we have to learn mostly the practical skills but there is no such equipment for doing a decent type of research work as they are not in a working condition. So first it has to be corrected and new equipment should have to buy for a making a good laboratory.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.

As the session started late so we have less time to complete the syllabus but it will be fixed after one semester. Teachers don't go very fast in order to complete the syllabus they focus on that the students are understanding the lectures delivered. The frequency of exam is ok 2 in one semester. Difficulty of exam is moderate to hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am chosen this course because mathematics is my strongest subject from all of the others that's why I can choose mathematics. Faculty member of our college is very supportive but some of the teachers are very rude behaviour. Our college teachers are very disciplined about teaching and any project work. My class have 250 students. Every semester our college takes mid sem exam then a viva exam, assignment on every paper, group discussion, surprise test. The exam pattern was based on their classes. The exam pattern is moderate most times.
