Best Economics college in Hooghly district.

Calcutta University provides a recognition when you pass and the valuation of CU is best among here, for me Economics is best because it's connected with real life problems with the situation changing constantly with markets and our behaviour for those also changed with certain factors it's interesting.

Recently there is Anudip foundation under i think Accenture, also Mahindra for internship, they are teaching us necessary skills for capability in our daily life, like interview and how to deal with others. For placements there is Magic Bus and some others.

From 5 and 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements there are some companies and organisations who are here to recruit students but the pay is average is around 15000 average, i will apply for MSc after this course.

Our college has basically government funded so the fees for Science Hons is around 8k-10k per year everything included in it like exam fees etc, and the same for Arts or commerce is 7k-8k and for general even less. The placement could be better, it's avg is 16k-18k which need to improve in future, although some go for the master's degree after here, our college also provide M.A. Hons for Bengali. Management and Canteen need to improve. Students financially weak get Vivekananda Scholarship from government schemes. As for Economics it is best college in Hooghly district.

There is a annual function which is conducted by Student Union each year, sports teacher is helpful for those who want to participate in sports competition, library is accessible but sometimes it lacks books, NSS and NCC camp also there for students

I did applied many other colleges, but some colleges are far from my home, but the main reason is the teachers of Economics department they are awesome i was really lucky to find such faculties which i never find at other colleges, and it's near my home also

The student to faculty ratio is 1:40, the faculty are mostly helpful and some of them are approachable, the best faculties are the following - Economics, Physics, Political science, maths and which needs attention are Bangla, Commerce, History. Examination are moderate to high for Hons and moderate for General.

At ground we can spend time, library is not for hangout, canteen is sometimes crowded but you can chill there, there is no hostel in our college, college timings is 10:30 - 4:30, Gym is accessible, for night it's not a suggested place for roaming.
