the course in vit is more technically inclined as i am a cse student i have all important courses like dsa networking oops pointers software engineering etc but also if a mechanical student wants to a minor degree in data science or some other feild he can opt for minor degree rest every thing is goveerned by AICTE only so there is not much role of college in changing the ciriculum

internships are also like placements very competitve but if you can hustle it is very good as all major tech and non tech comapnoes visit our college there were about 250 companies this year for internships

placements are very competitve although all big companies visit our college but because of very huge strength mostly people get placed in mass recruiter but if you can hustle you will definitly get placed in very good companies so this year microsoft took 12 google took 10 zomato took 2 adobe took 5 service now took 11 linked in took 1 amazon took 21 pay pal took 9 wells fargo took 35 walmart took 14 jp morgan took 48 black rock took 85 and list goes on total 338 companies have participated till now and most importanly tcs took 2010 students at 3.3 lpa

there is a category fees system in vit vellore in which according to your viteee exam rank you will be alloted category with fees i am a category 4 student my annual tution fees is 445000 with 3000 rupee caution deposit which is refundable and hostel fees is 154500 for 4 bed ac room with veg mess along with 15000 which is refundable and another 15000 which is non refundable and also they are one time fees . as far as i heard from seniors tution fees remains constant but only hostel and mess fees increses slightly @4-5 percent per annum if you get <100 rank in vitee exam you are exempted to pay tutuin fees and there are also some need based scholerships i cannot avail it because my family income is very good enough

there are enormus amount of clubs and if you want you can start your own also like i took part in mozilla fire fox club which is a coding club and it also invited very famous youtuber love babbar to tech talk in our college similarly you have debate clubs and many more in vit you have around 1000 clubs

hostels of vit are one of the best they provide ac rooms which are not very costly and also there are very less power trips in vit like once in 7 day that too for just 1 hour rest we have generators in our hostel which except ac runs everythinng and anything we also have wifi but speed is capped to 10 mbps also wifi is not available between 12 30 am to 4 am but there is no usage limit in net speed

i got 96.01 percentl\ile in jee mains so that i was getting nit srinagar eee branch and also i was getting lnmiit ece branch and vit vellore cse branch but after talking to many seniors and my own counsin brother in vit vellore i decided to join it there was not my role rather it was more of my dad dicision because he had heard many good things of vit vellore

i donnot know about faculty to student ratio but every class has around 70 students only . course structure is available on official site of vit . talking about exams we have 3 exams for evaluation namely CAT 1 which is of 50 marks converted to 15 marks similarly CAT 2 only difference is CAT 2 is a opean book exam and at last we have FAT EXAM which is of 100 marks converted to 40 and there are 2 quizes conducted by faculty which are of 10 marks each and we have a digital assignment which carrys 10 marks so total is of 100 marks . for me in maths PRAVEEN T is the best teacher he teaches to the point and if you practice all his question in class you will definitely get full marks in cats and fat although he makes very tough quiz papers and there is a teacher name PREMKUMAR S which is a bullshit teacher he just gives marks to those to whom he likes and rest every teacher is more or less the same

you cannot go out of your hostel after 9 pm until you are in librarry or in some club activity vit is very strict about indoor timmings although it is 9 pm but you can come by 9 30 also depending on your warden
