Honest Opinion about MSU Baroda

The course curriculum is overall great considering the subject. there are few subjects which feel unnecessary, considering what subject we're learning. Sometimes things are overcomplicated which could be simplified. But still, the course is overall good to study.

My university has a strong industry connect and offers internship as well as job opportunities. My university also has ties with leading companies, including Reliance, Amul, and L&T. Thus, my University provides great internshi opportunities with stipend of 8,000-10,000 Rupees per month.

The placements of my college are really great. Many students of my university have got to work as a professor in my college, either on contract basis or permanent basis. Having Maharaja Sayajirao University's graduation certificate makes a good impact if we try to apply for internships or jobs anywhere outside the college campus.

The yearly college fees is 7000 rupees. Scholarships are given to SC, ST and OBC category students which gives about 4000 rupees. The fees of the complete course, which includes the fees of all 3 years together, is 21000 rupees.

My college is one of the best when it comes to fests, events, competitions, etc. Every year one open mics are held within several departments, competitions are held for the whole college, and fests are held where celebrities and musicians are called to perform which makes it a thrilling experience for all the students. My college's library is among the top 25 libraries of the country. There are tons of books in the library and it always makes the reading experience great! Not only that, but several extra curricular activities are also done in campus, including sports and other stuff.

I applied for around 7 colleges in Gujarat and I got accepted in 6 colleges. However, I was admission to the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda because of its reputation about good education. It's also in a great city where everything is available even in the middle of the night which makes it easy to live a life here. The admission process of my college is really simple. First we need to apply online, then we get notified over an email once we are selected to show up for an offline round. Entrance exam depends on the course. Everything is finalized over email and then offline subject selection is done.

Most of the faculty members of the college are really friendly and approachable. Most of them are elders but they still manage to mix up with the student and their mindset which makes it really easy for the students to approach them with any problem or query. The course structure includes 4 units in each subject. The exam system has 1 internal exam (30 marks) and 1 external exam (70 marks).

My college gates are closed by 8 pm. However, the are around my college is very lively. There are cafés and spots nearby where students like to hang out after college. The maharaja Sayajirao University girls hostel gates are closed by 9 pm everyday. It ensures the safety of the girls. I wouldn't call the locality around my college the safest to roam around at night since my college is near railway station, but the people around are really helpful.
