Likes
- RRU Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar whatever you call it, has the best infrastructure among any colleges of Gujarat.
- Level of training is such that the first quality that the student will instill in him would be self confidence.
- Psychology is also taught to us as we are taught strategic studies and psychology is a core part of it.
Dislikes
- Hardly any female students as even though it's a co-ed college the college has hardly promoted itself.
- College mess should find some variety as food is boring here with not much of a change in the menu.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's only RRU where you will find a course or studies that teaches Defense strategy. Hence, from international ties to international differences, the importance of wars and all. Hence, my university and my course is one of the most unique and therefore it some addons can happen, it's good but nothing to be changed in this is what I would opinion for.
Placement Experience
Percentage of students getting placed is almost 100%. As Indian Police Service, IRS, and Indian Army are the ones where students are recruited directly. Also some are sent for diplomacy too as diplomat top is one of our subjects.
Fees and Financial Aid
RRU in all there are just two and the best is the Gujarat one as one will see students from all states and not just the Gujarat. UP and Rajasthan students are in dominance but there are students from South and Eastern states of India too. One of the main reason for coming and studying here is also the affordable fees as it's just 42000 a semester.
Campus Life
Our fests and events aren't as many as other colleges. However we do have an annual fest and still i would rate Dandiya nights over this as it's Gujarat and that night celebration is so amazing that social media is set on fire with that event. It's such a huge campus full of trees and gardens that one will always witness beauty around him.
Hostel Facilities
At 38000 semester a fees for hostel which has room and food facility sounds superflous but it's true. Rooms are big but are three seaters and also washrooms are common at our hostel. Food lacks variety and if that is addressed I will not have a single complain from the hostel.
Admission
As I said before, no other university in India offers this course so this college was an automatica choice for me. Admissions are based on entrance and physical attributes. Since Drdo, Indian Army and all are the ones who gives us jobs so physical and mental fitness both are checked and fit students are enrolled here.
Faculty
Tell me any other college where you have seen IAS as faculties but our university and specifically our course has. So their credentials are unmatched atleast in India and when they teach us means apart from our subjects we will also learn the most important subject called Burecracy. Hence without naming anyone i would see one year maybe a small substrate to look upon but our faculties are among one of the best.
Night Life
Gardens and Rivers are surrounded by our college and those are the two places actually. We are indeed far off from main city so not many top restaurant or cafe are nearby. However Mohan Tea Stall and Rana Bhajiya are two of the most promising eating joints near our university.
