College life which Not what you imagined

I joined this college because i have my friends here otherwise i dont think there is anything good at this college and everything here just seems average or below average. But the thing which is good is that atleast companies like wipro and tcs come in the college for placements and if you have a good skill set then you can grab a nice package. I think the college should improve their campus because it is very much small and there is nothing in the campus Its just college buildings and a playground which itself is not that big

The college does provide us internships with certificates which is a great thing. Experts from different companies visit the college and provide internships so thats a great thing and my friend did a java full stack internship once and it was really hreat as he told me as they told every thing about java from basic and they also gave them assignment like creating games so in my opinion that was a great opportunity and these types of internships start from your second year and then continue

Students get placed in the 4th year a lot of companies visit the college like wipro, amazon, tcs etc.The highest package of last year was around 75 lakhs and average package would be 3-3.5 lakhs. I am not sure about the percentage of the students which get placed

The fees which I have to pay as i am a cs student from the 1st campus (oist) is 1,41,500/- and it is the same for every year but i have to pay 4,500/- for uniform in the first year and thats all. There is no fees for bus or maybe it is incluced in the 1,41,500. Some of my classmates have joined the college by getting TFW seat idk what it is but they have to pay around 20-25 thousand fees per year only. I belong to OBC category and I've just filled up the scholarship form and I'll be getting around 29k scholarship so thats a bonus

A lot of events happen in the college but they are not great. The worst part about the college events is that even in the big events like garba or the fests which are organised once a year in them they separate boys and girls. The college have groups like dance and others but i dont know much about them but the groups constantly hosts events

I also applied to Lnct but i was not getting the main building and I was getting the main building in oriental thats why i chose this college. You can get admission in this college through jee and through the college level counselling you can get computer science with 40 percentile if youre obc

The teachers are great mostly but there are exceptions to be honest, in my case there's a teacher who is very very strict but they are the one who give a lot of marks in sessionals and the mid sem exams so i dont have any problem with that. There are a total of 3 exams which are conducted during a semester. 2 of them are mid sem exams and 3rd is the final exam or the end sem exam. The mid term hold 20 marks per subject out of 100. The result is calculated by the best of 2 of the mid sem exam just like jee, the end sem is of 70 marks and the rest 10 are of assignment and practicals. The end sem is doable and not that tough but the mid sem are slightly tougher than that

There is no gym in the college and library is very much below average as there is nothing there like the vibe is missing. The hostel is very bad they dont have personal washrooms you have to adjust with a general washroom. There are literally no hangout places in the college the campus life is very bad and boring
