- The clg campus is tooo small for students and there is sharing ground for all the colleges under oriental group ( oist, oct, oipr, oipm, ocm)
- The classrooms are below average as the building is too old.
- The clg faculties is not of the best and you'll have to study via youtube for exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
I liked science so I choosed the btech course. The curriculum is somewhere more hard and as it is affiliated by rgpv. The teachers need to understand the students better to teach them as not all the students are same in studies. exams happens every 3 months ( mid sems )
Fees and Financial Aid
The detailed fees is 144000 excluding any hostel charges and there would be 1500 registration fees for first year and 4500 uniform fees too. I took admission as direct admission via clg level councelling. Admission via Tfw have lower fees Around 35k and the fees varies from 1,40,000 to 1,44,000 depending on your quota. The clg provides girls scholarship and other scholarships too. You can get direct admission in this clg without jee too.
Campus Life
Till now, no annual function is held in this clg but i heard from some seniors that it happens once in 2-3 years. You can find various of books related to your course in Library. You can issue the book free of cost and you have to return it in one month. The classrooms facility is okayish as there is no smartboard and the classrooms are old. The sports and extracurricular activities are mostly limited to the hostel students as I see they don't select the students that live outside the campus. There is no student run social group in known to me but there are various clubs.
Admission
I applied in LNCT, SIRT, ACROPOLIS INDORE, IPS INDORE.. and I choosed this clg as this was the nearest clg to my hometown and as it is situated in bhopal so it would be slightly cheaper to live. I was about to take admission in LNCT but they were asking much fees so that I choosed oriental. I took direct admission to this clg via councellor.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio is good as there is enough teachers for students and faculty students relationship is quite average as facilities behaviour changes from students to students and you can approach the faculty for questions regarding your studies. There are 8 exams in whole 4 year excluding mid term exams that are taken by clg itself. The course curriculum is hard as acoording to rgpv.
Night Life
There is old gym, no cafe is there in college. Library is there in college. Hostel timings are 6 to 9 ( night ). Famous hangout places are Lakeview and cafes in the market as there is no good hangout places near the college.
