Riverfront of the college gives good ambience and also the location is peaceful in a city
Access to city gives more oppertunities of the city

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is verywell organised Most of the time studio focus will be Kochi and nearby places One semester will be internship Tour is one of the major element where students get to know real world examples

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

57000 rs will be the cost Per semester as fee There will be additional hostel fee There will be additional mess fee Study materials will cost more For better tour oppertunities we have to pay more For conducting some events we have to collect more money

Campus Life

As there is a lack of hostel block inside the campus the students are just getting the time till sunset in the college or else they have to get special permission to stayback. Extracurricular activities are there if students are taking initiatives Student run social groups are there. Library have a very good collection of books Convocation happens every two year College fest is there annually named Aarav Sometimes some unique festivals are there in college like Kathir where students have to grow rice on there own in the college campus.

Admission

I applied here majorly because of the location of the college. We are learning more things from the city itself. Due the presence of IIA and other architecture related communities it easy to get participation in the programes which is organised by these organisations.

Faculty

Most of the faculties are very efficient and approachable. College follows Mahatma Gandhi University curriculum but college have the permission to modify according to the studio Semester end jury and examination is very important

Night Life

Late night activities are not often there as the hostel block is not there inside the campus. If there are festivals or studio works they allow permission till night. As the college is inside the city there are many different activities we can get from outside the campus also. Cafeteria is the major hangout place inside the campus Outside the campus there are several hangout places

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

The reason I applied to this college was mainly because of the accesibility compared to other colleges as it is in the heart of the city and its location which is in the centre of a lush green Island which makes it a perfect setting for learning architecture. ASADI - The Architectural Gateway of Freedom to Design

Honestly saying, I didn't apply to any other college for my M.Arch program. Due to the various reasons I listed earlier. But for my B.Arch admission, I applied to other colleges like CAT, Marian college, but due to the marks not upto the mark from the 12th board exams, I was given a shut eye, whereas ASADI admitted me not only on the basis of marks, but on the 3 step interviews from bottom-to-top management level, which i aced substantially well. Just like many architecture colleges in Ernakulam my college is also on the way of establishment, yet we have many achievements in very short span it includes the rank holders from our first pass out batch.
