Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course makes you well prepared for the outer world but there are students who are still struggling with the concepts. So in my opinion the concepts should be very clear. Otherwise it is not advisable to opt for this course

Internships Opportunities

1

Intership opportunities have both paid and unpaid internships. For government internships the no objection certificate has to be produced from the college and to be submitted to the department. And for online private internships the scanned copy of no objection certificate has to be uploaded.

Placement Experience

2

The students are eligible to apply for placement is sixth semester. Companies visited - Cognizant, Wipro, Mindtree, TCS, Percentage of students getting placement - 100% After degree I have been pursuing higher studies in an Govt institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well when I was in the college it was 117000 for course and 67000 for fooding and hostel. There was an additional fee for training named SSEPL that charged 20000 per year. But it was not fruitful enough. Every department collects 800 rupees as society fee every year for magazine, departmental programs and so on.

Campus Life

2

Technical fest- Vidyantrik. This fest last for three days and cultural activities are done in the evening followed by DJ night. Cultural fest - Celegance. This fest also prevails for 3 days and the last day has a celebrity night.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel has both A/C and non-A/C rooms. Both for boys and girls. There are 11 hostel for boys. Also the there is one hostel for international students and one for girls. The hostel fee right now has been increased upto 95000. The food is horrible ????

Admission

No other colleges were applied for this course. In other colleges the facilities for this course was not preferable. So this was the better option. For admission entrance exam has to attempt. The admission can also be done through management seats.

Faculty

5

Okay so in a semester there are three exams. Those are : 1. Class Test 2. Mid semester exam 3. End Semester exam In class test the exam is in Google form pattern it carries 10 marks Mid semester exam is a pen and paper exam that carries 20 marks End Semester exam carries 70 marks. Also 10 marks are awarded for attendance, class performances and assignment The ease and difficulty depends on the clarity of concept

Night Life

1

Nightlife in the campus is not quite happening. Girls are not allowed at after particular time. Personal vehicles are not allowed inside the campus. Also the locality is not safe to roam around and also some paranormal activity has also been felt.

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
